The property is in great condition. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. One small issue: there is no dishwasher or dish rack so we had to wipe all plates dry with paper towel before departure. I would also suggest that the owner reduce the number of emails and text messages sent to guests. A lot of the ones I received were duplicates and a bit annoying.

Beach Cove Resort; Excellent Choice

I found Beach Cove to be beautiful. Very convenient parking. Ample pools, beach, and hot tubs. Excellent breakfast buffet and Snack Bar. My rental was very clean, ample kitchen appliances, and a beautiful view of the ocean. TV channel choices was good. Decor was nice in tones of blue and white beach themed.

Weekend Getaway

Instructions on how to use the stove is needed. We couldn’ t get it to work even after watching Youtube videos about the exact stove top. The water for the kitchen sink would not get warm/ hot for washing dishes. The bathtub was very slippery. A top b mat would have been safer. We had to use a bath towel on the bottom of the tub to stand on.

Great location and clean pools

Pros: we loved the location, parking was readily available in the garage, it was nice to have a room code rather than key too. The unit had everything that we needed. Cons: the wifi was weak, we wish there was private wifi provided. The unit was a little banged up but overall very nice and homey. We would stay here again and do recommend beach cove!

Love North Myrtle and especially being so close to Barefoot Landing. The pools at Beach Cove were great. The property over all is dated and shows the years of love and adventures, however, the staff is nice, they had good security, excellent beach access, and good parking. We would stay again. We did not love the messaging from Big Fish Rentals with so much “YOU WILL BE CHARGED” especially when the unit had chipped paint, missing backsplash, and wasn’t clean upon arrival. BFR was quick to respond to messages (although never with apologies for the state we found the unit). We will likely visit Beach Cove again.

No Notice of Not Working Elevator

The elevator was out our whole trip. Hauled all bags, groceries, beach items, etc up to 7th floor. We should have been notified of this as well as many services not up to par at the resort. Chair in living room is dirty. Found standing water under kitchen table. Multiple repairs needed (slat in blinds, table damaged, trim/molding banged up. Little communication regarding resolving the issues. Good view but had many problems on this trip for me, wife, young daughter. Condo needs cleaned better and fixed up.

Roach Motel

We were so excited for our vacation. I used to be an avid traveler, but work has been so busy that I haven't taken a trip in years. We booked this property and upon arrival, we were very happy. There is a beautiful view of the ocean and the location is great. After we got settled, we went to get dinner. We put our food on the counter, turned around to get plates, and then found our food literally COVERED IN ROACHES!!! They were everywhere. I called the property management company (this is owned by Big Fish Rentals, not an individual named Julie) and they couldn't have cared less. They refused to move us to another property, as did VRBO. Exterminators came the next day, but that really didn't do anything. We bought cans of Raid and spent the majority of our time in the condo killing roaches. Then our air conditioning stopped working. The room was extremely hot and again, they couldn't have cared less. They said we would have to pay to have someone come out because they knew their air was working. Obviously it was not. We fought for about 3 hours, at which point Alex told me I was unstable. I saw on several of their BBB reviews that as soon as you call them out for being a horrible rental company, they start insulting you. Once they have your money, they don't care about anything else. I promise you - you can find much, much better places and rent from much, much nicer people. This wasn't worth it after all of the grief we had to deal with.

Was really looking forward to our stay after reading the positive reviews. We unfortunately were instead greeted by roaches 😣 The rental company was notified and they did send out pest control to spray the following day, but simply is not an immediate fix. They weren’t able to use anything stronger while tenants were present. I spent every night of our stay killing roaches, it was gross and uncomfortable to have them around. After spending as much money as we did, including all the cleaning fees we definitely expected better. The furniture could also use a cleaning/ shampoo- they were pretty dirty. Location wise, it was great. Right on the beach, pools on the premises and close to restaurants and shopping centers. So if you don’t mind the extra guests/pests it may be perfect for you. I personally would not stay again.

Great room, amazing view!

The room is very nice. Pictures are mainly accurate besides the fridge isn’t stainless steel, it’s white, which is no big deal. View is amazing. About a mile from entertainment which is great. Only downside is a few roach like bugs crawling around in the kitchen, even with pest control that came during our stay. I would still highly recommend this room.

This particular property has everything you need and communication was excellent! We love how centrally located it is to everything. This is our 3rd time staying at Beach Cove, but in different units obviously and I will say it will be our last. Thank you for sharing your property with us for the week! :)

This was a great VRBO property and we would stay here again! First, let me begin by saying that the property looks just like the images: the view of the beach is spectacular. The property was clean and the thoughtfully decorated. It was beachy but not too kitschy without unnecessary decor cluttering up the tables. This meant that it felt open and airy and left us without enough open flat surfaces for our belongings without being worried about losing them. Having a separate bedroom was perfect. There was a range of lighting--pots with dimmers and lamps that we could easily adjust to suit our needs. We appreciated the number of outlets for charging devices. And most importantly--a short ride down the elevator and out the back door of the resort took us right to the beach! A few particular things of note: -I'm a bad sleeper when I travel, so I appreciated that the 2 beds in the bedroom were each a different firmness so that I had a choice. This choice meant that I actually slept well on this trip. -Location of this rental is great. Parking was ample and it's 1 mile to Barefoot landing with shopping and dining. And an easy drive to all of the other attractions in the area--Market Commons, Brookgreen Gardens, Boardwalk on the Beach, etc. -Close to several grocery stores--Kroger's, Walmart, also close to a Fresh Market, and Bay Naturals (local) if you are like me and need a larger gluten free selection. -Speaking of gluten free: we found that there were some lovely gluten free options in the area: Lulu's at Barefoot landing (the aforementioned 1 mile away) had an allergy menu and had the manager take my order on a red allergy ticket!!! Other great GF options we discovered: Tupelo Honey, local bakery You Eat, I Bake, Chuck's Steakhouse, Painters Homemade Ice Cream. If you are GF--watch out for the french fries in SC, they always seemed to be the dreaded "seasoned" fries that have been dusted with flour. If you crave fries hit Five Guys or Burgerfi. -Pool and hot tub in the resort were easy to access. Only two minor things to note: -The free Wifi is public building wifi--while there are 40+unsecured networks you can log on to, on the weekend we found speeds lagged on searches and streaming was impossible. No problems M-W while we were there. -Shower hot water never got as hot as the kitchen sink--one of us likes to boil in the shower. Just a head's up if that's a deal breaker. Water pressure was awesome, bathtub deep enough for a soak.

Location location location

Walked the beach, Barefoot landing and various wonderful restaurants everyday. You never need a car except to go to grocery. Condo furnishings and walls were a bit worn- but decor, kitchen, and bath were all well done. Overall a very nice stay. Public spaces appear to be weathered, but improving. We saw someone working everyday painting or patching.
