I loved the location of the property! It being on the 6th floor was the best spot, close to the beach but not too close to the pool noise. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. The size of the space was fine for our family of 6.

Wonderful Stay

I have stayed at Beach Cove Resort and booked through Julie at Big Fish Rentals several times over the past few years. We have never been disappointed with any of condos and the customer service is always top notch! My mom and I booked this condo very last minute because we were escaping the extended power outage in upstate SC after Hurricane Helene. And even with only a days notice, the booking process and customer service was still great! The condo itself was nice and perfect for my mom, my three kids, and I to have our own space. I will definitely be staying again!

DO NOT BOOK THIS!

This was by far our worst rental experience. The unit put our health and safety at risk. All of the living room furniture had fluid stains and the kitchen chairs are covered in black mold. The fridge is rusted and has taped shelves inside along with being covered with dust and dirt on the top. There is a rotted baseboard under the kitchen sink due to a water leak from the sink/rusted dishwasher. There were blood stains on pillowcases and stains on the sheets. There were burnt out lightbulbs in the bathroom along with other people's hair on towels, the couch, and inside pillowcases. There are brown splatter stains on the walls, missing dresser pulls, and food crumbs were left in the sink. There were broken patio chairs and a broken lamp in the closet. The air filter is so dirty that the vents have black residue on the ceiling. This unit should not be allowed to be rented in its current condition.

Great location close to barefoot landing. The resort has so much to offer with 2 restaurants, arcade and 2 pools. Just have a few patients while construction on tower C is in the process, however our family had a wonderful experience!

April 2024 - highly disappointed with rental company

My wife and I found the unit clean and tastefully decorated with plenty of room for the two of us but, if considering booking this unit, ensure the scaffolding outside the balconies in Tower C have been removed otherwise the oceanfront view of the beach will be obstructed. Read the fine print at the BOTTOM of the property description. Upon checkout we notified Big Fish Rentals, in good faith, of two items in the unit which we noticed that were missing during our stay but were not detrimental to our stay. We did not break or remove the items from the unit yet we were charged $75.00 for the missing items which were a sink stopper from the small bath and a towel rack from the main bath. Big Fish Rental claimed that we should have reported the items missing within the first hour of check-in but, as we explained to them, we didn’t notice the sink stopper until later that week, first glance it appeared to be a sink that worked without a stopper and the towel rack in the main bath wasn’t noticed missing until check-out morning when we were following check-out instructions from the rental agreement: “Please spread out wet towels and shower curtains to dry…”. Looking for a towel rack to hang towels at check-out, it was then we noticed the towel rack missing which we were charged for. Big Fish claimed their cleaning crew did not report the missing items the last time they cleaned the unit. If it’s our word versus the cleaners, I guess we lose. Will not book with Big Fish again.

Major construction on site

The condo was very nice and clean. The beds and furniture were comfortable. Bathrooms were nice, clean and well stocked with linens. Kitchen was really nice. And the view would have been great, BUT there was scaffolding all over that side of the building and use of the balcony was prohibited. During the week, construction workers were just outside the balcony areas, so you had to keep drapes closed for privacy. There was only one elevator functioning in each tower. The second elevator was being replaced. Pool areas were nice enough but lazy river was closed due to construction. I’m be hot tub was closed one day and the second wasn’t warm enough. Beach area was really nice. The clothes dryer didn’t work at all. It was so rusty inside we probably wouldn’t have used it anyway. After reporting it, a gentleman came on the 3rd day, but it was not repairable. It needed replaced. This could be a nice place, but it is obvious that the repairs being done on the buildings is badly needed, and the condo owner needs to replace the washer/dryer. I would advise people to call and check on the status of construction and if the balconies are open for use before booking.

Very nice condo

We've stayed at one of Julie's places before and both have been wonderful condos. Very clean, beautifully decorated, well stocked, and great location. We were just disappointed that Big Fish rentals did not let us know that work was being done on our building and scaffolding was covering the front of the building. One and one half full days, workers were on our balcony drilling and caulking. We have found many listings in the past that let you know work was bring done on the building and that their price was lowered. Elliott rentals gave us a partial refund when work had to be done on our condo. Just a matter of respect in my opinion. I would love to stay in this condo again if i was sure we would not have this problem again.

Spring Break

This is our go to area every Spring Break. We were very disappointed to show up at the condo to find the entire 16 floor building covered in scaffolding, the pool areas under construction and half the elevator banks not functional. There were storms after we booked our stay that caused damage and I get that but we were never notified of the extensive nature of it in the building we were in. We were not allowed on the balcony at all and even received a warning notice when we opened the door to the balcony with no idea what that warning even meant. No work happened on the building or scaffolding area the entire time we were there to even necessitate the balcony being closed. They did however work on the pool area every day running table saws and pounding nails while we were out there. When I contacted the rental company with my concerns on check in I was told I should have read the information closer. No where in the 2 sentences they covered this did it state that this was what we would find. One pool being closed out of 3 isn’t the same as being completely under construction. The condo itself was ok. Set up cute. Kitchen layout with frig was very tight with door bumping into counter when you needed to get into it. I’m sure it’s a lovely building with great ocean views when things are working as they should be. We did not get that experience this year.

Wonderful!

This place was so nice and relaxing and RIGHT ON THE OCEAN. Very clean! The balcony was also nice to just chill out and people watch on the beach and listen to the waves. Will hopefully get to rent this again in the very near future!

604 Beach Cove , Myrtle Beach

Nice quite area. Beautiful front beach location with balcony. Nice updated balcony furniture compared to others at site. Comfortable furniture, decent equipped kitchen with all the essentials. Lots of little amenities important, extra box fans, nite lights, plenty of towels, comfortable furniture, beds inside. tastefully decorated. Good working air conditioner. Clean environment on arrival. Few things - missing towel rack in 2nd bathroom. off track door to washer/dryer that my husband got working with his tools. Smoking oven when cooking pizza, we opened up the condo to off set the alarm and cleaned the oven from a previous spill setting off the smoke when it was turned on. Owners were contacted on some of these and prompt on our contacts but we didn't want them to fix while we were there.

Great resort with great location

The property was great! . The condo was smaller than the pictures online made it appear. We had 3 kids and 4 adults and the space was tight. The balcony was narrow. But overall the place was great and we all fit it was just tighter than we expected. The location is very convenient to everything you could possibly want or need. The resort has everything that a vacationing family could want or need as well. We had a great week!!

Construction on the lazy river (every morning) was loud and meant scaffolding and a closed pool each morning. The indoor pool & jacuzzi are closed/gone/dysfunctional. So the number of pools is misleading. Because we did not book directly with the resort, that means NO access to the fitness center (which is poorly equipped, but still a disappointment for my fit fam). The condo itself is beautiful and wonderful; it's the property itself that could use a bit of improvement.

Property was in a great location. Lots of dining, shopping, and entertainment nearby. This area was not over commercialized and had several options for excellent local eateries. It was only a 15 minutes drive to the big entertainment district as well. Our condo was clean, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the best part was it sits only steps from the ocean. Only downside was there were limited restaurants open onsite, We hoped to watch the March Madness games at the Tipsy Turtle, but it was always closed for "private events" or having "massive computer issues", Only the Tradewinds Cafe was open onsite for breakfast buffet ($18 pp).There was also a lot of maintenance being done, so pools and hot tubs were limited. Our unit (604) provided all the basics you needed to get started- Several PLUSH towels & washcloths, dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher tabs, toilet tissues, and hotel size shampoo, conditioner, body soap, salt/pepper, sprays. Enough to hold over until you can get to the store. We found the Walmart was only a 10 minute drive. Very convenient. We had excellent food and great service everywhere: Highly recommend Hamburger Joes($$), basic smash burger fare at a reasonable price excellent happy hour options as well. Also great food at Nacho Hippo ($$), House of Blues($$$), & LuLu's ($$$). All in all a great family location. Lots for all ages to do, eat, and enjoy. Highly recommend and look forward to returning with the whole family next time.
