"Grandby Cottage was charming, the main house magnificant and the grounds were beautiful. The wisteria was in full bloom. I felt like I was taken back in time, expecting a carriage to pull up at any moment.Amanda is a great host and answered all our questions. Our itinerary the day after we arrived was:Day 1 -- Bath. We did the free walking tour (fantastic) and toured the Roman baths.Day 2 -- Stonehenge (We walked instead of taking the bus, which was so much better.) Avebury (one pub in town)...

"We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Great location for sight seeing and eating out. Wi fi was slow but not a massive issue and certainly not a deal breaker. Would recommend and stay here again. "

"There is nothing to fault. The property is modern, spotlessly clean and well furnished to a high standard, with excellent views. There are some very pleasant small details on arrival (a loaf of bread, cake, butter, milk, tea, coffee and a selection of biscuits and jams). Paul and Jill are delightful and amusing hosts, who went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We will definitely return when we are next in the area."

"The Snug is in a good location to visit the Forest of Dean area and Wales. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and live on site. They have thoughtfully provided everything you need for a short break. It is well presented and although overlooking a main road is quiet and has parking at the rear. "
