"We enjoyed our stay and felt the love and care of the owners have for this beautiful house. The amenities in the form of baked goods and access to beverages was a nice surprise and the breakfast was delightful. When you come, take tje time to admire all the details this magnificent space has to offer."

"The mansion was beautiful and decorated Victorian style. Our room had its own A/C unit and attached bathroom with shower and spa tub. Breakfast was a delicious combo of cold buffet and personally served hot ham and egg sandwich. The owner is a great host and happy to tell the history of the house and area. Located in downtown Dubuque and walking distance to restaurants. "

"The hosts were great. The coffee was waiting for me at 6 am. The breakfast was delicious! I called it biscuits and gravy but it was more like french tost lol we had some great laughs. I will plan another trip here in the future. Downtown Galena is really neat. We checked out some hiking trails and had a blast. "

"As I had found that this property was once owned by my 3X great granduncles I was fascinated by the history and walked in their footsteps. As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily. It was a pleasant step back in time with it's antique atmosphere and original structure. It was my 48th wedding anniversary and staying at a family home made it even more...
