Memorial Day weekend.

Location was the best part of our stay. It went down hill from there. The house was listed as having 3 full bathrooms. One was out of order as it would leak through the ceiling so we weren’t able to use it. A smoke detector was ripped from the ceiling. One of the sliding glass doors had a broken handle. The screens were not properly installed on the doors. One bed did not have a fitted sheet on it. Some of the TVs were missing remotes. There were barely any utensils. The ones that were there were tiny like you would use for a baby. The outdoor furniture was broken and had holes in the cushions. We did reach out to the owner, but he never called back. The place could be great with a few modifications. Unfortunately, the way it was listed did not meet the reality of what we got. Our main issue was the bathroom. We had 10 people staying with us, 3 bathrooms was a selling point.

pretty terrible experience overall

The Good:- location was decent (waterfront is nice)- nice views out the back over the waterThe Bad:- check in was extremely difficult, no check in info given to us so had to contact the local host numerous times and at first he did not even recognize our confirmation number and said he had no record of the booking despite us having already been charged; after frantically calling VRBO who then called him we were able to get the check in info but it was last minute and quite stress inducing- the place looked like it hadn't been fully cleaned/prepared for us when we arrived (markings on the walls, dirty mirrors in bathrooms, screen door for the deck was laying on the table on the back deck?, bird poop all over the outdoor seating area, deck furniture was torn up and ripping)- didn't have simple amenities (no toaster, only had hand soap stocked in one of the three bathrooms)The sucker punch was we paid for three bathrooms but felt only two were useable since the upstairs bathroom had a two foot long crack in the bathtub and after someone showered there was water dripping down into the kitchen/living room space on the floor below. When we messaged the host he did not respond. We've also asked for compensation from VRBO since we did not get what we paid for (three fully functioning bathrooms) but have unfortunately not received any follow up from the host or VRBOIn a nutshell, do not stay here! There are plenty of other better properties elsewhere

Please read

I actually did not stay on the property because host cancelled at the last minute and put me in another home ( his mother's house) When I arrived there was someone at the house. It was overbooked and host did not even tell me. I had to call. Left me without a place to stay.
