This gem of a home sits in a busy area yet leaves you feeling like you are on your own retreat. Owners have furnished the home to have everything you might need, the home is quiet with beautiful views. We found the property spotless inside and out. This property felt so homey it was hard to leave.

Pictures don’t do this home justice! Hidden away from the road, almost like a secret in the trees. The modern wraparound decks provide several places to enjoy the view, have a family meal, or a game night. The proximity to the beach was amazing and made it easy to go back and forth. Plenty of beach chairs and toys were found and enjoyed by all. The inside gives mid-restoration cottage vibes, with modern and classic elements. The living room is huge with 3 comfy couches. Downstairs bathroom is also huge with a jetted tub and large shower, with an entry to the side of the house, easy access to get cleaned up from the beach. The bedrooms upstairs are super comfy, with blinds on all the windows if you need to shield the sun. The upstairs full bath is a bit cramped for larger people, as I am, but still functional (at 6’4” I chose to shower downstairs). There is definitely some work to be done, like loose doorknobs, but nothing that derailed us from enjoying our long weekend. The kids had fun on the paddle boards and the pier just a short walk away provided additional entertainment, with live bands in earshot. Would definitely visit again! Thank you!

We were traveling for a much needed girls' trip. The house was very nicely decorated and cozy. The air condition din't help too much with the upstairs bedrooms - our only complaint. The house is located right on the bay, and walking distance to a pier with a fun restaurant/bar and live music. We had a great stay. We woke up every morning to watch the sunset.

Great location right on the beach - private path to the beach. The outdoor space is amazing - there is a table with a grill right outside the kitchen, a deck with a table, hammock, and seats in the back of the house, and an upstairs deck with a beautiful view of the bay and beach. Very quiet area overlooking a fishing pier with a restaurant. The house is very spacious, with great bedrooms, well stocked kitchen, and a huge dining room, and living room. The hosts were very responsive, helpful, and accommodating.

Absolutely Charming

This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful pieces of property in Oceanview with spectacular views and the interior of the house is superb. It is very well maintained and has all the amenities anyone could ask for and more.I would not only love to stay there again but only wished it was mine. Just a lovely house. Our whole family came here for the ODU graduation we had family from Georgia and New Mexico and here in Virginia as well we all absolutely enjoyed our stay here and this lovely house.

Too Short!

Wonderful stay, it just went too fast. A couple of suggestions: I did not see an ironing board or iron, also, not enough toilet paper for 5 people. You have a wonderful place. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Great mother & daughter trip

My mom and I decided to book a spur of the moment beach trip. We kept coming back to this house. It was a great stay, close to the beach, and the house was so clean. Highly suggest eating at Swell Bar and Grill while there which is only 3 minute drive - fresh seafood and friendly service. Kim and Jeanie, the hosts, were super communicative. Check in and check out was a breeze. Thank you for opening up your home! Truly a gem of a stay.

Loved this place!

This place was great and an amazing location! The hosts were amazing and so great at communicating. We didn't need to bring half the stuff we did because they literally had everything you need for the beach. Absolutely fantastic experience. Thank you so much for everything :)

Great Views with Odd Setup

The views from the porches and access to beach were great! However, the set up of the house was very odd and difficult for my older mother, The master bath is on the first floor with no bedroom. While the listing says the bedrooms are upstairs it’s not super clear that the master bath is downstairs alone. The upstairs bath with the shower is a shower in a claw foot tub so way too hard for an older person. You also have to go through the master bath to get to the outside porch from the back of the house or you have to go up to the front doors otherwise. The master bathroom also smells like someone did some heavy smoking in the past just in that room? Overall the house was clean but just difficult to navigate.

Paradise on The Bay

Relaxing perfection with access to so much fun!

We were blessed to stay for a week and that still didn’t feel like long enough! The views. Let me just start with that. I woke up every morning to the sunrise over the water. The decks are wonderful. Being able to see the view from even the main floor and deck is a plus! The home had all of our needs, and the grocery store a few blocks away had the rest. Beyond our needs, we had extras at our disposal, like beach towels, beach chairs, a sun canopy, paddle boards, boogie boards, single kayaks and a double kayak!!!!! Also, any question or issue we had was immediately addressed by the owner! Communication was excellent.

Spring Break

Jeanie and Kim's house was wonderful. All we needed to do was get groceries from the store and we were set for our short spring break trip - everything else was provided! Direct access to the beach, plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the view, ample area in the house to be together or for alone time.

Perfect Ocean View Waterfront Home

My family had a wonderful stay at Jeanie's waterfront home. The house was really lovely, very comfortable and spacious, and was well stocked for all of our needs. The beach was perfect and we loved how close it was to the fishing pier which we ended up walking to along the beach daily! I would definitely stay here again!
