On our first evening, someone from the staff just barged into our room without a knock or anything, seemed very surprised we were there but we definitely were supposed to be there, it was well after the 4pm check in time. We also chose this room specifically because of the huge jetted bath tub and the jets didn't work. Finally the bed was horribly uncomfortable!! Between the tiny, thin mattress and the pokey concave foundation it was a rough sleep.

Every thing was great, friendly people and staff, views of the harbor were cool. And access to the private crabbing dock was wonderful. My only disappointment was the jets in the tub were not functional, which was ine of the things we were looking forward to.

Great location and nice view

We loved the location and the charm of the unit. Bathroom and sitting area were nice. We only had a few complaints: the jet tub didn’t jet, the mattress is old and worn out and needs replacing, and the freezer is almost completely encased in ice.

Wonderful view and gorgeous bathroom

Place was very charming, perfect for two adults. Make sure you know that there is no kitchen. But there is a microwave and a coffee maker, and a few dishes. We loved it and will come back The only downside animal hair that my husband is allergic to. But that’s his fault.

Pictures look good

Don’t be fooled by the pics. This place is not like the pics. The rug covering most of the living space is filthy with dog pee stains and plain dirt! It has been reported before and nothing was done.). It has not been kept up well. The toilet wouldn’t flush and a maintenance had to replace a part in the tank. Then the door handle broke and we got locked in. Maintenance had to be called and we were stuck for / hours. The wall heater is melting the plastic wallboard behind it and looks like it will catch on fire. The tray the coffee pot is sitting on is broken. The chairs are not comfy and the bed is too hard. You won’t find much on the TV. The toilet paper and paper towels are the cheapest you can buy and the towels too.

Heat Wave

While I did enjoy my stay at this property, I do have a few comments: 1. Probably due to the construction and location, when it is sunny outside, the unit really heats up. For example. on 6/25 it was 79 in Newport but 96 inside. Other days it was in the mid-80's. 2. Inside lighting is quite low for reading at night. 3. The table near the bed is SMALL for one, not fit for more. 4. The stairway from 2 to 3 is steep for seniors with baggage. IF I went back it would be to a lower floor unit.

Nice stay

Very nice spot. One thing to be aware of-there is no window between the bathroom and the main room. It’s open with no glass. There are blinds. If you go in the winter, it’s heated by an electric stove and it was a loiter cold. Other than that- a nice, comfy spot.

Beautiful Room + View in Newport Bay

The great: Really nice room! Everything was sparkling - good towels and essentials. Views are wonderful! Echoung sounds of sea lions at night is awesome. The plainly weird: the description and photos dont expressly depict that, say for wooden blinds, the toilet and bedroom are all one space. I am not a fan of urination etc with an audience. Also pretty steep stairs - this should be mentioned. Deck could also use another chair to match the photos. One chair was lonely. And maybe some coffee for the room. But overall, would certainly stay again - it was wonderful. .

The studio was amazing. Great view of the harbor. The staff was polite & very professional. When we arrived, after traveling al day, we had no bath towels. I was told when I called, they would bring the next morning. They offered $25 off for my stay, never received? The electric fireplace never worked. Check ed out the sauna & pool, the pool was nasty, hadn’t been cleaned. I would definitely stay in the same room, when returning next year. Another plus it’s very quite and property well maintained.

Wonderful room, with everything you’ll need!

Our room was everything we had hoped for and had everything you would need for a basic stay. The only downfall was that the sunlight above the big chair was extremely dirty with bird poo and there wasn’t any coffee pre stocked (which most everywhere provides), other than that, everything else was perfect. The bed and sitting in chairs were very comfortable as well.
