Me and my wife wanted to go on a vacation with our kids but we didn't want to rent a hotel and be forced to go to bed around 8:00PM with them. We chose this place because of the multiple bedrooms, a kitchen, balcony, proximity to the beach, and proximity to the stores. I was expecting to arrive at an apartment complex and was glad to see it was indeed a duplex with a unit on top and bottom . Both units are open for rent.
When we arrived we had our own parking spot. When we opened the door we were greeted by the smell of an older building in the stairs only. My wife and I didn't mind but some of our friends with expensive taste may have found it to be unpleasant. The duplex reminded me of an older home; no issues with it and everything has been maintained. We appreciated that a baby gate was available.
As the post specifies, the kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans, plates, cutlery, and all the normal appliances a kitchen should have. The kitchen was a clean place to prepare food and eat and we were very satisfied. The dining room and living room were also clean, as was the couch which I found quite comfortable. There is a 32" LCD TV with Dish TV with multiple channel options. Free WiFi was also provided and we had no issues with streaming SlingTV.
The bathroom appeared to have undergone a renovation in the past 5 years. The lid to the toilet seat was cracked but other than that everything was clean, the shower was hot, and there was fantastic water pressure.
Bedrooms were small but we didn't go on vacation to stay in bed all day. The beds felt more like they were full sized than queen sized, but this is coming from someone who sleeps in a king sized bed. The headboard in one of the rooms was not fixed to the bed so I decided to move it to the closet so we wouldn't rattle it if we had to get out of bed. This uncovered what looked like a medium splash mark that appeared to be where someone had either spilled hot cocoa or some brownish liquid. I covered the area so I wouldn't have to deal with it but this was the only thing that really bothered me during our stay.
I was also unaware that we would need to do some chores before leaving but that didn't bother me (laundry, trash, and dishes). Also, our trip was at the end of September and was quite cold. Only heat source is either baseboard heat or a small heater in the living room.
We enjoyed our stay and may possibly stay here again next time we're down.
