The living is easy here and it invites you to ride bikes along the boardwalk and watch pros surf some of the biggest swells in Southern California at The Wedge. Take the ferry to Balboa Island for some of the best seafood in the area and to visit an old-school amusement park with a historic Ferris wheel.

    - This home allows up to 2 pets for a fee; undisclosed pets brought without AvantStay’s approval may result in a $500 fine per pet.
    - Our home is in an active neighborhood on a main road, so you may experience occasional noise such as traffic, children playing, or outdoor conversations. We apologize for any inconvenience but are confident you'll still enjoy your stay.
    - Please note that guests do not have access to the garage.
    - The reservation holder must be at least 25 and must be present for the entire stay.

    This home does not have any parking. Street parking is available, but it can be challenging to find, especially during peak hours. Please allow extra time when planning your trips, and consider using public transportation or ride-sharing services.

    This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

    As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

    Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

    There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

    As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

    IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.

    We report and prosecute all Credit Card Fraud.

I would highly recommend Surfrider for your next vacation. The location was perfect; walking distance to stores/shops and of course the beach. It was clean and very comfortable. The hosts are very responsive, we had a mishap with the door and the host was extremely timely in coming to our aid and had no issues following their assistance. All in all it was the perfect retreat to enjoy with friends

Great beach stay!

The location is amazing, just steps from the beach and close to nice restaurants and a weekend farmers market. It was well stocked and the communication from property managers was great. One thing to note is that the blinds in the bedrooms are not blackout so it does get bright early, just a heads up. But would definitely stay again and loved it!

Great Beach Getaway!

We really enjoyed our stay at Surfrider II! You can’t beat the location and it had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The master bed was one of the most comfy beds I’ve slept in at a hotel or VRBO. Cute kitchen/ living area and upstairs deck for relaxing. Customer service and check in/out was fantastic. My only note is that the place is listed as 2045 sq ft but I’m guessing that’s the entire building and the place itself is 1/2 that size. Regardless it is set up well and felt spacious.

Sophisticated beach vibe

Our recent stay was nothing short of amazing!! The property was impeccably chic, clean and beautifully updated, creating the perfect blend of style and comfort. Its location couldn’t be better - just a short walk to everything we wanted to see and do (beach, restaurants, bars, groceries ), yet nestled in a wonderfully quiet and peaceful area. The home was well appointed with all the amenities we could have needed, making our stay feel truly seamless. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, showing incredible hospitality and responsiveness throughout our visit. We’re already looking forward to our next stay - this property is an absolute gem!! Highly recommended!

Quick beach getaway

For spring break our family wanted to get away and the beach was the preferred destination. We found this property on VRBO and it looked great. The location is excellent; just a block from the beach. We received a text message from our host the day of arrival and he was very response to questions. We arrived about an hour early and asked about checking in early, to which our host graciously made happen. The property worked well for our family of 4. It was very clean, fairly spacious, and had almost all the amenities we needed. The only thing we were missing was some extra blankets for when we watched movies on the couch at night. We had a wonderful few days at the beach and hope to return again soon!
