What a wonderful stay! Perfect location. I chose this home due to reviews about location and being able to accommodate a large group and I can say I was not disappointed! Now the driveway to garage is extremely steep, but parking was no problem. Plenty of lots and or public parking. Everything was wonderful and will choose to stay again!

Fun Staycation on the Sand!

My daughters had a 3 day weekend so we planned some beach time. It was important for us to be right on the sand, and that we were! It was easy to bounce between the house, sand, water, firepits, and volleyball courts throughout the day. Parking on site was too tight for my Tesla to fit but there was ample street parking available during the off season and the parking lot is just a few steps away for convenience. We walked to the fun zone and to dinner each night so didn't cook at all but enjoyed spending some quality time together. The place is very large with plenty of room for everyone. Beds were comfortable and the place was clean. It would have been nice to have beach gear, coolers, or bikes provided so I didn't have to lug so much stuff to the house and back for just a long weekend but we made it work!

Balboa Family vacation 2023

We had our two sons and their families join us for a family reunion. There were ten of us from 65 to 6 and we never felt cramped or on top of each other. Great location! Twenty more family members were down the boardwalk so it was perfect. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and Fun Zone. The house was big enough and clean and well equipped. All of the TVs and appliances worked, even the fireplace. Mattresses not very comfortable but that is to be expected. I loved this beach house!

Excellent Property Management Company

We came into town for a memorial. The management company from day one were amazing. We had one tiny issue and although I said it wasn’t urgent they were there within a few hours to fix it. The location was perfect and the accommodations were great. There was enough of everything for our stay. We so appreciate how amazing they were. They were five star all across the board!!

Great Family Vacation spot

Our family of 9 rented this for a week and we enjoyed every minute! The house had plenty of beds and space for our large family. We loved having a washer and dryer in the unit and AC. Both unique to other vacation rentals we've had in the past in the area. They provided plenty of towels, beach towels, hand soap and toilet paper. Some things to note: the silverware is limited (literally 10 forks). The kitchen is well supplied to cook most meals. There is PLENTY of salt and pepper in the unit, but no other spices. As I noted above, they provide hand towels and bath towels, but no wash cloths. The parking situation is tight. We struggled parking our 2021 Ford Explorer in the tandem space. We made it work, but it takes patience and time. Overall, we loved this place and we would rent it again in a heartbeat!

Family Beach vacation

Great location. Very family friendly. We liked this place but would recommend if you bring babies under 2.. bring a baby gate for the stairs. Property management company was great. We only had one slight issue and it was handled within a few hours. Only one down side… NO full length mirrors in the entire house! Very strange! Other than that we enjoyed our vacay:-)

A++ Location

Clean property, responsive professional property management, all the necessities are included at this house. In my opinion, this probably the best location in Balboa - right on the beach and very close to the municipal parking lot for the pier.

Nice beach house

Overall a very nice beach house. Very clean. Needs more kitchen supplies such as silverware and larger cooking pots and pans. We had 9 people and there was not enough silverware for everyone to have a place setting. Cooking was a challenge due to the small size of the pots and pans Great location to shopping and restaurants. No games at the house so must bring your own. Plenty of bath towels and beach towels provided. Dish soap provided. Hand soap provided in all bathrooms greatly appreciated. Coffee pot and keurig provided. Our family enjoyed our stay and would stay again sometime in the future.

Clean, beach rental for family of 10

This property was as advertised with enough beds for a family of 10. Check in was easy and contactless. The rental was very clean and stocked as indicated. The kitchen had all appliances: blender, toaster, Keurig and coffee maker. There were minimal spices. All linens were clean and easily found — note there were no extras. Location was on the bike path within a block of Balboa Pier. Due to location, parking can be challenging. The tandem spots were tight so there was no garage storage space for beach toys, bikes etc. Overall, a great family rental with enough indoor space and storage. The walkability was great.

Our extended family of 3 generations stayed at this Balboa Peninsula property. Having lived on the peninsula years ago, we knew the activity level would be high in the summer. The cleanliness, A/C and proximity to fun outweighed one night of loud neighbors. We would rent again.

Exceeded our expectations!

This beachfront property was perfect for our family! It was a prime lot with volleyball nets and fire pits right out our front door. The walk to the beach was easy and extra public parking was just a short ways away. The rental was much larger than the pictures showed. We had the best vacation!!

Beachfront-but short walk to see the ocean

If you are wanting a bustling and busy beachfront property, this is the place for you. However, if you were hoping to sit on the patio and watch the ocean, then you need to look for another place. There is a boardwalk right in front that is continually being utilized. Your view for the ocean will require a short walk over the sandy beach. The property is newly remodeled and very clean. The kitchen is laid out in a easy to use fashion. The living space is well designed for several guests. There is ample bedding for 10 people as listed. There were more than enough towels as well. There is NOT indoor seating for 10 people around the main table to eat, nor are there enough bowls and silverware for that number of guests. The other concern is the front patio door has problems with the lock. This sounds like an ongoing problem that has been addressed before. Finally, the parking is meant for a small to medium sized vehicle. it is very challenging and frustrating to park anything larger due to the size of the alleyway and construction of the garage. If you have a luggage carrier on top, you WILL have to remove it, as it will not clear the space. Overall, I would look for a different location in the future due to the lack of visibility of the ocean from the property and parking issues. I also found the boardwalk too close and busy for someone looking for peace and quiet. Some issues are excusable, but for the cost to rent this property, you want to be sure you will enjoy your stay.

Amazing house on the beach!!!

Amazing house and amazing location! This was our favorite vacation by far and our favorite house we have rented on VRBO. The house was very clean and the owner provided toilet paper, paper towels, nice linens and beach towels. Great communication when I had questions. Responded quickly. I read other comments about the air conditioning so I was worried but the A/C worked perfect! The layout was very nice and the beds were very comfortable. We are planning on renting this house again and again!
