  • A home away from home. This well-equipped, 4-5 bedroom house boasts a panoramic lake view and large landscaped front and back gardens. Located in peaceful countryside, with traditional villages and pubs only a few miles away, this is a perfect base for touring the Shannon, Limerick and Galway regions - with historic sites, the unique Burren landscape, the cliffs of Moher and ferries to the Aran Islands only 30-40 mins drive away. In easy access are excellent golf courses, great fishing, horse riding and great surfing beaches. Inside a welcoming kitchen with wood burning stove, large dining table and bright spacious open-plan living, makes this house ideal for holidays with family and friends.

Casa amplia, cómoda y bonita. Nos encantó la cocina-comedor, con una mesa enorme, el salón y la barbacoa. Y las niñas disfrutaron muchísimo del jardín. La comunicación con la propietaria fué muy fluida y amable. Situada en un entorno tranquilo y precioso, cerca del pueblo de New-markt-on-fergus. Desde aquí hicimos excursiones a Bunratty Castle, Galway, Cliffs of Moher, pero también nos sirvió de base para ir a Ring of Kerry, Cobh, Kinsale...La recomiendo!

Family vacation in Ireland

The house is in a perfect location to see the majority of sites on the western side of Ireland. It’s quiet, with plenty of privacy, nestled next to a lake filled with wildlife. Will definitely stay at the house again if I come back to visit Ireland.

Absolutely Beautiful

This property is gorgeous. It was so relaxing and quiet I actually teared up when we had to leave. We will be staying here again when we come back.

We had a great holiday at the house very clean and all essential items were there like towels and and toys also lots of tourist attractions and information avaliable would recommend to any family that want to have a great time during the summer

Great place to stay

Very pleased with the property. Comfy sofas and beds and very well equipped kitchen. Lovely view over the lake and near garden. Good showers too.

Great family holiday

Gillian’s house was extremely comfortable and spacious, the pictures do not do it justice. We had a wonderful stay. There were lots of interesting places to visit to suit our wide range of ages. The communication with Gillian was very easy, would definitely recommend

Gill's property was perfect. I could have stayed another month. Everything that is needed is supplied. The beds are cozy. We would stay here again if we are ever in this area.

Large home in quiet countryside

The house had everything we could need and more. It was very spacious and had plenty of room for our cousins who live nearby to visit as well. It was a great central point for the west of Ireland to do day trips from as well. Grateful to have stayed here and the host was very quick to respond

April 2025 Stay

This is a very nice property, and we four octogenarians were very well pleased. Gill is an excellent host and had all the necessary information of how to operate items in the house as well as information of places of interest to visit and eat. The area is delightful and we especially enjoyed the Dromoland Castle. The location makes it very easy to see Ireland.

The home is great for a large family or small family reunion. The kitchen has everything you need. Located on a quite, country road. The yard is spacious and has nice views of the lake. Great for day trips to many sites and only 15-20 to SNN.
