"This is a wonderful gem of a place to stay. My husband, dog and I stayed for 2 nights and we honestly could find no fault. Everything you could possibly need was provided which was a lovely touch. Even down to being able to grab a cuppa whilst we got our bearings was perfect. The weather was horrible but we felt relaxed and rested which is priceless. Would have loved to have stayed longer so will definitely look to do that in the future. Well done Julie, your home is amazing "

"I loved my stay at the Brae. It was the perfect place to get over jet lag as I embarked on a one-month vacation of the U.K. It’s a couple of miles outside of town, and the bus to downtown stops right in front of the house, which was perfect. Very comfortable for sleeping. Having a bath tub to soak in after a day full of walking was heaven. Graeme was an extremely welcoming and informative host. Definitely recommend t He Stay at the Brae."

"The toilet was so high up i couldn't do a sh*t. I'm six foot tall, but when I was sat on the toilet my feet were not touching the ground. Overall, the place was pretty bleak, e.g. no mirror in the bedroom to check my outfit, only one pillow so I got neck ache in bed, no towel rail or hooks anywhere in the bathroom so couldn't hang up a towel, no hook in the bedroom to hang up a coat, no toilet roll holder. These things are not expensive to install. The bathroom floor was a bit dirty when...

It's a little far out for a quick walk to the city center, but the area is beautiful safe and quiet. "The main complaint we have is that the washing machine wasn’t working. We especially booked this place because it had a washing machine, but we couldn’t use it. The room wasn’t the cleanest as we found coins and other things on the floor, something we interpreted as not a thorough cleaning. The staff was friendly and they did let us use their employee-only washing machine and drier in the basement but we had to constantly go downstairs to do laundry, check if the clothes were already dry, etc....
