OUTSTANDING!!! Debra was the QUINTESSENTIAL host!!! Her attention to EVERY detail did not go unnoticed. Cleanliness, great snacks, EVERYTHING WAS GREAT! The location was perfect-- short walk/ride to Magazine St! Great neighborhood-- always felt safe. Clean, well-appointed, and comfortable!

Our family (2 adults and 2 tween kids) had a wonderful stay in March 2024. Deborah is a very thoughtful and attentive host—the home is spotlessly clean, secure, and well stocked with toiletries, kitchen necessities and snacks! My kids were delighted with all of the goodies to snack on, and the grownups weren’t sad about it either. She is a hands-on host, personally coordinating check-in/out and touching base in person or via phone during the stay. We felt very well cared for. It is above and beyond service that you won’t find everywhere. The home itself is a classic New Orleans shotgun house with tons of original details and modern plumbing (a must!), in a true neighborhood that is walkable and safe. We can’t recommend this rental highly enough!

Stayed for a weekend to see a show at Tipitinas. Property manager Deb was great. House was clean, on a quiet street , and only a couple blocks from Magazine. Lots of dining options within walking distance.

Celebration of Life

My family and I gathered for a Celebration of Life event. Debra, the host, was amazing thoughtful and very kind. She Went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The home was perfect for my 90 year old mother, sister, niece, and daughter. The Location was my primary reason for staying here. Close to everything New Orleans offers, yet in a quiet/safe family friendly neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again.

Quick weekend in New Orleans

We enjoyed the property, it was clean and well maintained. There were plenty of snacks provided which you don’t see at many places. Debra was very sweet, she made us feel right at home.

Family weekend to NOLA

The house is clean, well-stocked and safe! Debra is an outstanding manager - she is kind, communicative, thoughtful, and knowledgeable about the area. Debra takes the time to understand the needs of your visit and is a great resource. She was great to our kids and helpful to us. The area is an easy walk to food, shops, and the street car pick up. A great experience for our family!!

I’ve never felt so taken care of while on vacation. Deborah left snacks and Easter baskets for our teen boys upon our arrival. She checked in on us daily through phone to offer any help. She even brought me a present when she heard it was my birthday! She was an exceptional hostess! The house was also perfect for our needs. We had parking in front. It was walkable to shops and dining. Short 10-15 minute drive to attractions French quarter, City Park, Armstrong park etc. The home was clean and cozy with festive decor. Our only complaint …. That our vacation to NOLA had to end.

lovely house made better by lovely host

Deborah met us at the house at check in as well as check out. The house was well stocked with toiletries, trash bags, paper towels, snacks... (which we have not experienced at other VRBOs) --- we felt like we were staying with a friend instead of at at a rental where we were being monitored on our usage of dish detergent, toilet paper... The only thing that might be nice for people to know who are not familiar with the shot-gun style house it walking through rooms instead of a hallway & that there are no doors between any rooms. The neighborhood was safe for running and we walked to Magazine Street for most meals (many options!). The reason we chose this property was the reviews about her tour. We were not disappointed as she took us to places we would not have known about and since she drove, we did not have to fret about parking. We recommmend staying here.

Solo Birthday Weekend HQ

Perfect place to enjoy a birthday weekend in New Orleans! From a previous bday trip I knew I wanted to stay in the more residential "Uptown" area vs French Quarter. This Irish Channel location was perfect. Two blocks up to Magazine for lots of shops, restaurants, & cafes. Another 5 blocks up to St. Charles where either the streetcar or the parade routes run. I was here for the parades so it was perfect! The house is a cute shotgun style w/comfy furniture & decor. From the moment I arrived I had the biggest grin on my face, loving the style & warmth of the home. It was cold & rainy a couple of days but cozy whenever I came home. Deborah has thought of everything and checks to make sure there isn't anything you're lacking. She's such a warm & generous host, she'll do everything in her power to make you feel welcome and make your visit memorable! She's thought of everything you might need from snacks, coffee, tea, & water in the kitchen, to hairdryer & toiletries in the bathroom, to folding chairs in the closet so you'll have a place to sit if you're watching the parades. Nearby Mahoney's Po-boys was an awesome dining suggestion and she took me to visit the Ashé Center, a beautiful community focused cultural arts center (with a lovely little giftshop). I cannot say enough good things about my stay. This trip was a last minute decision so none of my friends or family were able to join me but I'm looking forward to bringing everyone with me in the future! Can't wait to return! :)

Lovely NOLA Property!

Great shotgun house in a quiet neighborhood convenient to magazine street cafes, bars and restaurants. Debra is a great hostess who provides snacks, nice towels, and is very conscientious and easy to communicate with.

Great Home in Excellent Location

The house is in an excellent location within walking distance to restaurants and shops. It is kept beautifully and very comfortable. Deborah was super accommodating when our travel plans changed unexpectedly, and is extremely personable.

Great stay - wonderful neighborhood

Like many reviewers stated, Debra is a great host. She walked us around the neighborhood to show us the store and a few good spots to eat. The beds are comfy and we loved having snacks after a night of drinks and LOTS of walking. We had never stayed in this area - it is very safe and lovely. Beats the French Quarter hands down.

Absolutely perfect!

I can't say enough good things about Deborah and this property. The location is ideal, with lots of things within walking distance. Center city (Bourbon, French Market, etc) is easily accessible by streetcar. The house is exactly as shown in the pictures, cozy and scrupulously clean. The supply of snacks, water, and sodas were an extra special touch. There was an abundance of towels, and extra sheets and pillows. The beds were very comfortable. Deborah went out of her way to welcome us, check in and see if we needed anything, and just generally make sure we were comfortable and happy. If I could give ten stars I would. We will be back!

Comfortable place for a family!

We were in New Orleans last week to move our son into Tulane University. Having been to the area a number of times, our requirements for a place to stay included close proximity to good restaurants, not too far from campus (we had a car), and comfortable accommodations for three adults. We very much enjoyed our stay here. The home was comfortable, with plenty of space. The owner went above and beyond to be sure that we had everything we needed for our stay. She communicated with us every day with helpful suggestions about things to do, and was a phone call away for questions. The well-stocked kitchen and refrigerator (really appreciated the bottled water!), quiet neighborhood and safe parking were very much appreciated. We would definitely recommend this property, and the property owner, for a future stay in New Orleans!

The place was clean, easy to get to and in a great location .Deborah the host went more than above beyond more than helpful. She had the place stocked and ready.
