We stayed at the Bohemian House during the first week of June and had a very positive experience. Initially, we were somewhat uncertain about the Central City location and had questions about safety, but we encountered no issues during our stay. The property is conveniently located about a five-minute walk from the St. Charles streetcar, which made getting around the city easy. There is also a fire station and police station located approximately two blocks away, which added an extra sense of reassurance. The house and pool were both enjoyable and well maintained. The home has a classic shotgun-style layout with beautiful woodwork and hardwood floors that give it a lot of character. The décor was thoughtfully done and seemed to preserve the historic feel of the home. The large windows allow for plenty of natural sunlight, which brightens the space nicely. For guests who prefer to sleep in or are sensitive to morning light, I would recommend bringing a sleep mask. Because we were traveling with a larger group, we prepared several meals at the house, and the outdoor grill by the pool made that very convenient. The check-in process was seamless. We had a rental vehicle, and street parking was never an issue during our stay. The central air conditioning worked very well, which was especially appreciated as a welcome break from the New Orleans heat. Ovcerall, we had an excellent stay and would gladly rent this property again on a future visit to New Orleans.
