Cute Place Close to Quarter

I traveled with my husband, out 12 year old daughter and 14 year old son. This home gave us room to spread out. My son and daughter, who get along well but sleep very differently, were able to have their own rooms which was nice. My husband and I enjoyed coffee on the back patio in the mornings while it was still a bit cool. This also let the kids sleep in as much as we could. I could see enjoying evening drinks out side, but we were too tired by the time we got home each night! The location is about a mile from the quarter. Although it is walkable, we felt more comfortable driving as we would be returning after dark and just felt safer. The street going toward the quarter has several properties that are in the process of being remodeled. At least 3 of the mornings on our way out, we saw the same three boys playing with a soccer ball in the front yard. Most people I saw in the street, exchanged some sort of friendly greeting. There is a business right next door~Lock and key, if I recall correctly. They were completely quiet. We were there Monday - Saturday, so they were open. There is also a busy hospital just down the street(busy according to our friend who is a doctor at a different local hospital). We never any ambulances or anything. We had breakfast and dinner at the home a couple of times each. Everything we needed was in the kitchen. There is a dining table for 4 and kitchen counter to eat at, so space was pleantiful. Communication is okay. The property manager called me to see when we would be arriving and I texted her to let her know that we were there. She replied promptly. Shortly afterward, I texted with a question to which I never got a response. I did get an email from Daryl every morning to check on things. The first day I asked him the same question. The next days email came telling me that he was glad things were good. To which I responded, did you read my email? My final email came at 10 in the morning and began with a greeting referring to it being evening and the next morning being my check out. This leads me to believe that the emails are prescripted and auto sent, which is fine. I get it, but if you're not going to read the responses, don't send them. As a vacationer, I don't want to have to read or reply to emails anyway. All in all, I would suggest this property. I didn't mention, but it was clean as well.

A Perfect Time in NOLA

My friends and I had an absolutely wonderful stay! The house is unique, spacious and beautiful. The back deck is such a perfect spot to listen to some music and have some cocktails! Would 100% rent again then next time I go to New Orleans!

Wonderful house!

We really enjoyed our time here. It was the perfect place for our group of 8, including 2 teenagers and a child. The back deck is amazing; private and plenty of seating. We spent nearly every night out there drinking wine and chatting. It was well stocked with toilet paper, paper towels and other amenities. Our son was concerned about the neighborhood, but everyone was very nice. The microwave wasn't working, but Daryl didn't know that and I'm sure it will be up and running for the next person. Just a block away from the streetcar and close to the French Quarter, it was the perfect place to land at the end of a busy day. Thanks for your hospitality, Daryl.

Nola Inspired

Very cute inside. Each space was decorated and made you feel like you were in NOLA. The amenities were great. Would not recommend the location if you are walking to the quarter. Sketchy neighborhood if you are visiting for the first time. Beds could use some pads on them for extra cushion.

Overnight before a cruise

Our group of 8 stayed at this property the night before we left on our cruise. Such a cute house and decorated beautifully. Location is easy to get around on foot or by tram. We all agreed it was a wonderful stay!

Super cute House & Outdoor Patio

We stayed here just for one night as we were passing through from TX to Florida and we wanted to shorten the travel time in the car....18 hours is a long time to be in the car so we broke it up in two days. This house is sooo cute. I absolutely love the kitchen it looks just like the photos and the master bathroom is just as adorable. I have a personal love for shotgun style homes, craftsman style homes and clawfoot tubs. I own a tiny house with a clawfoot tub :) It is like other reviews say in a neighborhood that is on the mends but we had no trouble staying here and absolutely no trouble with anyone trying to break into our car so I'm glad I didn't let other reviews of the neighborhood try to scare me away from staying here. If I'm ever in Louisiana again I would totally stay here again. Such a cute home with everything you could need for your stay.

Everything we wanted and more!

This property is amazing. Close enough to downtown that you can just catch the streetcar to Bourbon Street but far enough away to avoid all the craziness. I HIGHLY recommend this property.

Very nice!

Property was very nice and clean! The deco was gave off a great NOLA feel. The back patio was a great space with a beautiful painting! The house was stocked with everything we could need and it was a really short distance to shops and Bourbon street. Will definitely be back on our next trip to NOLA

Spacious and conveniently located

It was spacious with good conversation grouping areas, lovely deco, comfortable furniture and beds, and lots of extras (coffee, shampoo, extra towels, kitchen items, etc), 1.5 blocks to street car, short drive to grocery store and good restaurants and easy street parking. We were a bit concerned about the neighborhood, but had no issues and everyone was very friendly. My only suggestion to the owner would be to easy up on the air fresheners.

NOLA flare with room to spare

When we arrived we were initially concerned about the neighborhood, but Daryl’s assurances and the absence of problematic statements from previous guests encouraged us to stay. We’re so glad we did. The home’s appointments, space for the family to stretch out, and easy drive to the French Market checked a lot of boxes and Daryl’s quick response to calls/texts checked the rest. We will definitely stay here again when visiting NOLA in the future.

Awesome home!!

My girlfriends and I stayed here for one night while we were passing through and I wish it could’ve been longer! The home is adorable and spacious. It slept 7 guests comfortably, but there were couches for overflow as well. The host was very responsive and we definitely appreciated the extra security with our personalized alarm code for the home. Our only struggle was finding parking. There is only street parking available. Overall, wonderful find! Would recommend to anyone!!

DISAPPOINTED

Paid for the rental in full; arrived at the location and it was a very unsafe neighborhood. Contacted the property manager with our concern, he failed to respond; drove 900 miles to find ourselves looking for lodging at another location and had to incur additional, totally unexpected, expenses. The fact that the property manager did not respond is totally unacceptable. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY.

Beautiful home.

Daryl was communicative and was available if when needed. Home is larger than pics suggest. Nice outdoor space. Beds were very comfy. Has ALL the amenities you would need. Master bathroom was HUGE!!! Massive tvs!! Will stay again if ever in NOLA. Thanks Daryl
