Check-in was super easy! We were given a code prior to checking in and it worked perfectly. The kitchen had every utensil and pot or pan you needed. There were also two coffee makers- drip or Kuerig.

We had the best vacation at this rental! Very clean and beds were very comfortable. They had everything you would need for fishing and cooking seafood. We had the most fun fishing on the dock! Gorgeous views. Lake life was so relaxing. We will be back!

Honeymoon

The house and property are gorgeous and looked just like the pictures. Laurie and her husband have just about anything you could need at the house. Laurie responded to my messages quickly and is great with recommending places to eat and sights to see.

Comfortable home on the lake

Comfortable house, kitchen had everything and more. Lots of extra amenities. Laurie was very responsive. Sunrise was amazing every day. Plan on bringing drinking water.

A week in NOLA

We had a great time visiting New Orleans and surrounding areas and then able to be outside the city and relax when we were done. Loved being on the lake and watching the sun rise every morning.

Loved this place!!!

Thank you, Laurie! You are an amazing host and we loved our long weekend on Lake Catherine. The house was stocked with everything we could have needed and then some!!! We only wish there had been fish for catching (probably just not the right time of year). But there were plenty of alligators that entertained us! Lol!!! This was absolutely the perfect place for us to relax, unwind and reconnect. We make a trip to NOLA every year and now that we’ve found this beautiful home, we may add a fews days to our annual getaway for some much needed rest and relaxation!

Great House

Our family enjoyed our vacation at Island Girl. We arrived after dark. Laurie left the lights on for us. This property is well furnished and clean. We had everything we needed. We enjoyed using the kayaks, fishing from the dock, and relaxing in this quiet and scenic location where there is an abundance of wildlife. It is located just a short drive from the French Quarter. I do recommend bringing plenty of drinking water and bug repellent.

New Years Getaway

From the moment we pulled up we knew we booked the best place! The house was beautiful, the property was breathtaking. Laurie was very accommodating and answered all of our questions. The house was tastefully decorated and super spotless! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and very spacious. Our only regret was that we didn’t take advantage of the beautiful dock and the kayaks. Definitely will come back again!

WONDERFUL!

We had an amazing time! What a relaxing location this was! Laurie was an amazing host who offers all the needed amenities. We felt right at home. Perfectly located between New Orleans and Slidell we had access to anything we wanted to do while being away from it all and able to relax in the sun and breeze. My kids caught crabs off the dock and even took a fishing charter with Captain Dudley and caught so many fish we had to fly them home. Thank you, Laurie, for sharing your perfect home with us. We are busy telling all of our friends to come do the same!

Amazing place!

This property was amazing. From the stock of supplies all the way down to fishing poles to the overall property. My sons had an amazing time fishing. They are usually “gamers” but they woke up fishing and went to bed fishing. My only wish would have been a fire pit but overall we will definitely come back.
