The property is beautiful and the view over valley's on the east and west sides were amazing. Plenty to do to keep my 3 teens busy with trail walks, golf chipping and cornhole. We made the trip into downtown Wimnerley several times and it's a short drive. Would stay again!

Lovely guest house. Directions to the property went to my junk folder so I had difficulty getting there. The address without directions doesn’t get you to the correct side of the property. Other than that, our stay was fantastic.

This VRBO was just as advertised. It was clean and comfortable and just what we needed. We loved our week here and enjoyed the quiet very much. There were a lot of deer that visited in the evenings and early mornings and we were able to see them all from the screened porch. We would love to stay here again.

Here are a few things that were obstacles: Ceiling fan on screen-in porch did not work and someone came to look t it but it was never working. The owner brought over a standing fan and that helped greatly.Both gold chairs in the living area had broken legs made it difficult to eat together and play games. Reported.The electricity went off in part of the house: Thursday afternoon - reported but it never came back on, no TV, no Microwave use where it was but we moved it, several outlets no longer worked, several lights in same area never came back on, this just made our time there inconvenient. Host called and asked us to check the breakers - we checked one box and it had the long type fuses and no breakers. We tried the other box but not get the cover off. Reported. But heard no reply.After our medical incident on Thursday night, we had ask for an extended time for check out, from 10:00 until 12:00. the answer was no because more guests we coming in. Understandable but that gave us a minimum of time to pack and clean, we did not get back from the hospital until 3:00 am, we did the best we could under the circumstances. We explained that our friend became very sick and everything would need to be disinfected.We recommend to put in a stove. One of the windows in the living area - the one facing the owner home in the corner, leaks, rotten wood, we went outside and pushed the window back into place.

Good

Location is hard to find the first time, but if you follow the VRBO directions closely, you'll find it. The house itself was clean, but one of the bathrooms had hair in the tub when we arrived. That same bathroom has a tub that is elevated. The first morning my 76 y.o. husband took a shower, he stepped out of the tub and fell, face first, to the floor. There needs to be a sign on the wall reminding you of the deep step down. The description says it has a kitchen with a refrigerator. However, there is no cooktop nor oven and the refrigerator is only counter high...similar to what you would find in a hotel room. For cooking there was a microwave and an electric skillet. Fortunately we were only there for two nights and didn't need to cook. also, the animal rugs on the floor in the living room need to be secured a little better. All of tripped on them at least once. As we are all in our 70s, the rugs and the raised bath tub, could be a severe liability hazard for the owners. I was also told that we could use the garage but there was no way to open it. The door from the inside was locked and there were no handles to open it from the outside.Having said all that, we did enjoy the house. It is decorated beautifully and the grounds are quite serene. We wouldn't have a problem renting it again, if the need should arise.

Weekend Getaway

I stayed here with my 2 sons and a friend. We all loved the house and the grounds. My 13 yr old enjoyed the activities available. Location was great. We felt secluded but it was so easy to get to town. We will definitely stay again.

Charming home nestled in hill country nature.

Charming and thoughtfully decorated Casita with perfect hill country decor provided backdrop for lovely peaceful evenings of moonlight nights, and colorful sunsets. While in the daytime we visited the quaint little town of Wimberley where we shopped and ate at delicious restaurants. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Pretty

Great location with beautiful views. The cleanliness is questionable. Both tubs had hair on arrival, the sliding glass door didn’t lock (but we felt safe leaving it that way), the bedroom door knobs were loose and one did fall apart, one of the smoke detectors started buzzing bc of a low battery at 10 pm and we didn’t have any spares to change them out. We called the managing firm emergency line (we had 4 school age children sleeping in the bedroom) no return call so my husband removed the detector and we left it on the patio beneath cushions to mute the annoying sound. We found a dead scorpion in the kitchen the first night. There wasn’t a new dish sponge to wash dishes with. Other than those minor glitches, we really did enjoy our stay. Oh, and the grass was too high to play golf as advertised.

Not as listed

Not as secluded as listed. You are literally 100 feet from owners home. Outside Property not kept. Can’t walk parts of property that they show as selling points in pictures because stickers will cover you. Such as the overlook area, and the golfing area. Fire pit shown in pictures apparently hasn’t existed in years. Home is very clean and nice except it doesn’t have full kitchen. It’s more like a bar. Mini fridge, no stove. The sliding door won’t lock so we are having to lock ourselves in bedroom every night to feel safe. This isn’t conducive for a family of 6 that prefers to cook rather than going out to eat. It was very nice sitting on screen porch listening to the rain. Again inside is very clean and beautiful. Wouldn’t be bad if it was just a couples retreat. With little to no cooking. Not sure where guest parking is since it said don’t block garage doors. We ended up blocking garage door. Hot water lasted through 6 people. That was fantastic. All in all we were only there 2 nights and it worked for us but will not return for trips lasting longer.

Wimberly Get Away

Beautiful property, amazing sunset views. Loved the house and layout, screened porch was nice. Though it rained, still had fun floating the river and enjoyed home amenities (bocce & golf practice hole). Only concern was sliding glass door that didn't lock. Felt safe, but would have liked that security when we were not there or sleeping.

Great Stay, Amazing Property

First off, this has been one of, if not THE, best property I've stayed at. The location is perfect! The private drive into the property, the terrace to see the sun set behind the hills, the hike to the fire pit, all of these things make this property one of my favorites! The house itself is very nice and spacious. Everything we needed was available, we just got a few groceries for our stay. This will be the house we look for on our future trips to Wimberley!

Hillside oasis

Very quiet and peaceful! Beds were comfortable. Bring your own keurig unless you like to brew your own coffee. Don’t follow the link provided for maps…follow the verbal directions! The sliding door doesn’t lock but there were plenty of sticks around to fix the problem!

We had a wonderful time in Wimberley and the surrounding area. The place was very nice and quiet. Thank you for a very well kept and clean place to stay. The only concern was that the sliding door doesn’t lock. My husband tried to get it to catch and it wouldn’t. We didn’t feel like our belongings were safe when we were not there or even sleeping at night with an unlocked door. It would have also been nice to have a box of Kleenex. It was also not an easy place to find. Google didn’t have the same directions as listed in the check in email. I can’t Really rate communication with the owner because I didn’t have any communication other than emails from the property manager.
