Quirky, used by a previous reviewer is a good description of this property.
Climbing the outside stairs to the front door it was too obvious that externally the house was overdue in needing some TLC.
However once the intricacies of the door lock had been mastered(!) the beauty of this period property emerged. Ample room throughout, a first class kitchen with all amenities provided. Patios front and back, only the front screened; two well furnished bedrooms and stained glass windows and doors throughout. Vast amount of dvd's provided although the wild life outside seemed to be our focus. In a very quiet location although the builders constructing a house on the adjacent plot made their presence known.
HOWEVER two main issues for us.
Not all windows were screened and those that were, were the DIY variety. The front patio screening was ineffective as when the wind blew the screening lifted and mozzies and wild life joined us for a beer! It was a similar situation in the main bedroom.
The bathroom although well equipped had a shower in the bath. We knew this from the property details but it really was an unpleasant experience trying to shower with the shower curtain pulled all around you and trying to wash the lower half without anything to steady yourself. Added to which we found it impossible to prevent water escaping onto the bathroom floor no matter how we tried.
