"We were up at Waimarino to ski for the week with our two young children, the house was a perfect little bolt hole when weren’t on the mountain!Our only issues were that while there was a log burner and wood for it, unfortunately the wood was all rather damp and there was no way to chop any smaller kindling to even get the fire going, thank goodness for the heat pump, so we were all sorted! Also the Freeview box lost signal on our last night, but no biggie, we were all ready for an early night by...

"We loved our stay here and would have stayed longer. The house is beautifully laid out with the living areas upstairs (beautiful views!) and the sleeping downstairs. The kitchen is quite well appointed and has an excellent oven and stove. It's a little drive to anywhere but we had a rental car so that was no issue, only 15 mins to Tongariro visitors centre. "

"The house was great, we stayed so my husband and brother in law could do the Tongariro Crossing. We all stayed including the kids and there was plenty of room and had everything we needed. John was great allowing a super late checkout for us also. The housr was clean and tidy. Perfect property for our stay and family numbers. Would highly recommend this property "

"Nos alojamos una noche, para conocer el Tongariro National Park. La mañana antes de nuestra llegada recibimos un e-mail con todas las indicaciones para ingresar al hotel y hacer el check in, y al llegar encontramos todo perfecto como nos había sido indicado. La dueña del establecimiento se acercó a nuestra habitación para corroborar que nada faltara y, en efecto, estaba todo perfecto."

"We had an amazing stay, family of 4 with a baby and a 3yo. Nice and close to whakapapa ski field. The fireplace was amazing and made us all feel super cosy. Spa pool was great too! My daughter enjoyed reading the children’s books. We bought food from ohakune as were unsure if there was a supermarket but the 4 square by the petrol station is huge and has everything you need."

"Was typical camping ground cabin. It was great to be able to book it for one night because that was all I wanted. There were no inconsistencies with how it was advertised and what it was. The manager was very pleasant and helpful."

"We had a great time at The Blue Door Chalet. The house is well equipped, heated and welcoming. We arrived with a heated house, which was very pleasant, especially with a baby. There is a range of games and books in case of bad weather. The bedding is perfect. We love the little "cabane" for kids/teen. We'll be back for sure.If I have to snipe, it would be nice to have a cot and a baby chair to avoid moving our house.The only thing was that the spa ran out of water and had a bad smell."
