This property is amazing! So clean, extremely quiet. The decor is beautiful and the beds and bedding are so comfortable. They have every appliance, pots and pans to cook whatever is you like. 10 out of 10 would recommend. The green space out front is a nice touch, with added bunnies that come to say hello, our kids loved that. We even had an owl pay us a visit right outside the front window.

This property is perfect for a family of four like ours. We had all we needed and wanted. So comfortable. It has access to the beach and the park next door. Easy to get to grocery stores and many options for restaurants. The owner is friendly and pays attention to details.

Rathtrevor / Tanglewood Gem

Another (3rd stay) lovely relaxing getaway at this Tanglewood "Gem".We love the close proximity to Rathtrevor beach. Which is a short walk away. The home is very well cared for and updated decor. The furniture is very comfortable and high quality bedding/towels. There is no lack of kitchen supplies. Dishes, utensils, glasses, cookware etc.Lovely outdoor sitting area, which is great for relaxing and watching all the wildlife such as deer , rabbits and many song birds.The pictures are exactly as described. No unpleasant surprises.Carol and Terry are quick to respond to any questions or concerns.We will definitely stay here again when we are back on the island :)

Perfect Family Vacation

We stayed at Carol's vacation rental in June 2025. The location was amazing with great access to the beach and driving distance to loads of child friendly activities. Carol was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed for our two children. The place was fantastic and has everything you'd want to cook! Thanks again Carol!

Perfect Birthday Getaway

We had a wonderful time staying at Carol and Terry’s place. The rooms were very comfortable and the unit fit our party of six (three generations) perfectly. We loved the green space outside for the kids to play and the adults to lounge. The kitchen and BBQ were gourmet. The beach access was easy and so close. Thanks for a great holiday!

Was as advertised, beautifully appointed luxury condo!

Condo was immaculate and wonderfully located at one of our favourite spots on Vancouver Island. Wonderful walks, great weather, outstanding pubs, restaurants and bistros. Great shopping close by and a kitchen that was fully equipped and great appliances for home cooking and or barbecuing on scenic patio! We all felt very lucky to have found such a treasure and look forward to returning.

Beach Fun

Close walking access to the beach. Lots of local hiking in the area. Property clean and well equipped! Disappointed that there is not actual pool or hot tub access as indicated in the listing. There is an option at a neighboring resort complex but you must pay a drop in fee. I would suggest the listing be updated to reflect this in order to limit disappointment for families.

The Perfect Wedding Retreat

We stayed in this modern clean retreat home that was very spacious for six adults and one child. Very well equipped with plenty of everything. Carol was extremely helpful and answered quickly if we didn’t understand something. The beach was cool at low tide and walked out for a long ways. Lots of stuff to see and visit close by. Nice and quiet too! We would definitely come again. Thanks Carol and Terry

What a beautiful place to stay! The property is modern, clean, well-stocked and feels luxurious. The location is fabulous - we appreciated the proximity of the forest that borders the property. Although the beach was close, to our surprise the grassy area right out back was a huge hit with our kids - a real bonus for families. We would certainly recommend this place to others and would definitely return.

Perfect vacation home for families

I would give 11 out of 10 for our experience. The place was well equipped and we can tell that the host put a lot of thoughts to give the guests their best experience. We have stayed in a number of vacation homes in Parksville and this stands out to be the best. Location is within few minutes walk to the beach. Carol was very kind and took the time in answering all our questions.

Exceptional! Enjoyed Immensely!

The unit is stylishly decorated with original pieces and local artwork. It is immaculately clean, well stocked and maintained. The attention to detail is exceptional. Every need has been anticipated and provided for, including custom handmade soap, and gear for the beach. Responsive, generous hosts went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and that enjoyment. Would highly recommend and book again. The entire experience exceeded expectations.

Beautiful and relaxing!

From the minute we walked in the door, we loved our stay! The beds were super comfortable, we had loads of space, were less than 5 minutes walk from the water, and Carol was available the whole time we were there just in case we needed anything. Can't say enough good things about this place!

excellent stay

Very elegant property with a view to a huge yard that made meals very relaxing. Very well stocked, there was everything we needed for 4 adults, games, magazines, plenty of towels, beach stuff, utensils, kitchen stuff, you name it. Super close to the beach, its among the best properties in the Tanglewood. I would definitely want to stay here again. Everyone in my family of 4 adults enjoyed it.
