This house might be very comfortable in the summer, but it was too spartan to be cozy in the winter. Zero floor coverings, thin comforters, and only 2 throw blankets left us feeling chilly and continually turning up the heat. We’d have loved some extra blankets and a few rugs (or washable bath mats if worried about dogs). We got there after dark to discover the water had been shut off to protect the pipes and it was stressful to only be able to communicate through the app—a phone number to call in emergencies would have been nice (it was resolved within 2 hours ). There was a fair amount of trash loose in the yard and dunes around the house and several little things didn’t work—a burner on the stove, the coffee pot, a toilet that whistled like a tea kettle when you flushed it.

One of the best stay vacations! The beach and stars at night made it one of the most memorable times with our kids and friends. Location location really makes a difference. The house was perfect and the amenities and hot tub made things even better. Very clean and updated. Will do it again each and every year for generations. Thank you!

Great Week

We spent the week leading up to July 4 at Change in Latitude. We loved the cleanliness of the space. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cutlery, etc. The air conditioning was awesome, and greatly appreciated. The Crows Nest was enjoyed for sunrises and sunsets. Check out instructions were clear, and very easy to follow. Our nine year old English Bulldog was very comfortable in the space-although getting up and down the stairs was not his favorite activity. Host was very responsive and helped us troubleshoot an issue accessing the laundry room quickly and easily. Beachfront was very nice, and surprisingly not very crowded. The only issues we had were the bathroom with the shower stall is pretty tight-especially for taller people. Also, the home is oceanfront, but, the walk over the dunes to the beach and back is not easy-especially for younger/older guests, or anyone with mobility issues. Also, the sand gets really hot during the day, so beach shoes would be a good idea for heading back and forth. Overall, we had a great week, and really loved Change in Latitude.

Excellent stay in Nags Heads

We loved staying here! The house was clean, the kitchen well-stocked, and the outdoor deck was perfect. We enjoyed the ease of access to the beach. The property manager was responsive and great!

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

We found this cottage on the oceanfront to be just what we were looking for, quiet comfort on the oceanfront. The house was immaculate and had space for us to spread out. The kitchen was family open allowing for us to cook together. We had a lovely Thanksgiving at your home. Watching the ocean from the top balcony made me want to live down here. Thank you.

Peaceful fall obx vacation

We love going to the beach in the fall, less crowded and the weather is still nice. Change In Latitude was the perfect place to stay, as it was located on the beach in a peaceful, quiet section of the obx but not far from restaurants and shopes. The house is clean, stocked with all the amenities you need, and is pet friendly, which is a plus bc we like to bring our dog along when we travel. We watched the beautiful sunrise every morning from the upper lookout deck, had the beach mainly to ourselves during the day, while I enjoyed surf fishing and my wife relaxed and the hottub was a nice way to warm up and unwind for the night. We highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be coming back!

Great location

Great location in South Nags Head, close to many restaurants and activities. House was very clean when we arrived and was a great fit for our family (4 adults and one 2.5 year old). Highly recommend.

Deep Sea Fishing Trip

The inside was very clean and stocked with everything we could need. My issue was outside the house; sand had accumulated and blown in (under the house) so walking through that to get to washer and dryer you walked through the sand. Beach chairs were in a cart but covered with sand, not well stored. Around the exterior had not been cut or trimmed. Additionally directions on how to get to the house could have been better as well as the lock. It didnt display numbers until you touched the panel. Nice house and host was prompt in responding to email questions regarding getting inside.
