For a house that sleeps 6, only 1 of the beds was comfortable.The king bedroom only had a headboard leaning against the wall and the footboard sticking out from the bottom of the bed.The double bed with bunk was so uncomfortable, we needed to set up our own air mattress.In addition, for a house that sleeps 6, there should be enough towel racks for 6 towels to be hung up to dry.Living room and kitchen were spacious and well equipped.

The location of this rental is amazing. It is in the heart of kill devil hills and we were so close to everything, including the beach! The back dock was great, the neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. Very peaceful stay. The only recommendations we have is to change out the fridge- it would not close all the way and we had to force it shut. The sheets had stains on them as well, so maybe updating those. Other than that, it was perfect and we plan to stay again!

Blue Water House

We had such a great time! There was a problem with one of the TV’s downstairs and the maintenance man showed up quick to fix the problem. The house is located in a good spot close to multiple shops, food places, and the canal out back was the best part. Our favorite places to eat were Dune Street Raw Bar and Grill, Millers Waterfront Restaurant, and McGraths Burger Shack. We will definitely be going back!

Beautiful and Clean Pet Friendly House

This was a quick stay after the holidays to visit our daughter that lives in the neighborhood. The house was easy to find, clean, and the kitchen well appointed. The ONLY drawback was that the yard is not fenced for pets - which would be lovely.

Great location

Good location to get to everything. House was clean and spacious. We enjoyed our stay. Would really love to have the option to recycle next time. The trash bags filled up pretty quickly with two kids.

Disappointed with basic amenities

Was unpleasantly disappointed with basic amenities I expected with the house. No paper towels, not a single condiment in the fridge, no basic kitchen spices, cheep single ply toilet tissue, no sandwich bags, no laundry detergent, no dishwasher detergent, no information on local attractions, restaurants, bars, etc. I emailed the owner for some restaurant info and was responded to with a list of restaurant names only, with absolutely no details at all, which was of no use. First time staying in the outer banks and maybe this is typical of rentals but disappointing. I did speak with other renters in the area and they did not have the same experience. Had to make several trips to the grocery store to purchase all of these things. Check in not until 4 and check out the following Saturday by 9 am is ridiculous. We drove by the house at 2 pm on checkout day and the house cleaner was just getting there, so 9 am checkout was not necessary. It was a waste of both Saturdays.

Nags Head Fun

We had a great time in Nags Head. The property fit out needs perfectly. It was an easy walk to either the beach or the shore, as well as a close ride to shopping, restaurants, Jockey’s Ridge State Park and the Wright Brothers Memorial. We had no major issues during our stay and would stay there again.

Excellent House

The house was very spacious for all of the kids. The house is in a great neighborhood, I let my two teenagers go for a walk and I wasn't worried about them. The house is close by to some of my favorite stores so it was easy to pick up forgotten items. At night it was a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. I would definitely rent this house again!!

Perfect summer get-a-way!

The Blue House was a perfect fit for our family and last minute vacation plans! Beautiful views, direct access to the sound from the house, and plenty of room across the 3 bedrooms for everyone. The house is conveniently located close to public beach parking, a local golf course (definitely recommend Nags Head Golf Links), and shopping. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Loved this house

Pamlico Blue

We were very pleased with this rental. Everything was fresh and clean. The house sleeps 8, and we had a party of 4. More than enough room for everyone to spread out and to relax. Appreciated the well appointed kitchen -- since it was very difficult to eat out due to the extended wait times. Being positioned on the canal was great for fishing and kayaking. Having access to the community pool as an option was also a plus when we needed a break from the beach. Thank you, Christine!
