An hour after check-in Saturday we checked in the dishwasher & found old food and mold. Filled to clean and it flooded the kitchen with bubbles & smoked. No mop was avail so we used towels and threw them away. A call to the emergency # at Cove Realty was not returned. A repairman came on Monday and fixed D/W. We also showed him a rotted section of the deck which you could fall through (we covered it with a chair) which he returned later and repaired. Central Air was not working properly and 3 window units had been installed in the L/R, and 2 B/R's. None in the third B/R. Units did not fit in windows and rain blew in, heat came in along with bugs. Rugs in bathrooms were filthy, sand spurs were in mattress covers etc. (we did not use their linens). We had to purchase ant killer, light bulbs or be in the dark. A pack of bulbs in the house were burned out. A/C service came and said he told Cove the week before the entire central unit needs replacing but window units were used. It appeared the tub and both bathrooms had been wiped down but the kitchen dishes, pans etc were filthy. Dead bugs were in the silverware drawer, and the fly swatter was in the drawer with cooking utensils. The D/W man laughed when we showed him the large cobwebs on the light above the kitchen table. We were ready for Halloween. One night we spent time killing spiders on bedroom ceiling that appeared to come out of the a/c vent. The a/c company and Dan the repairmen were kind and did all they could do. Cove Realty left a message on my home phone which I received when I arrived home. Why didn't they call the cell ?? I was informed I should have called each time I had a problem and they would have sent someone.. My week would have been spent on the phone. Will rent from Owners from now on.
