Perfect vacation house
The house is very welcoming and comfortable. The location is perfect. Great place to relax and enjoy after a day of touring in Mystic. The house is very clean and shows a wonderful attention to detail by the host. The host is extremely each to talk to and very responsive to questions. Hopefully going to return next year.

Moldy, dusty and dirty with great views and location
Beautiful downtown mystic the views and location are great but the cleanliness of the house was lacking. The bathroom ceiling is very moldy the towel were musty. Every surface was covered in dust including the dining room table and the kitchen drawers were dirty with trash in them. Overall very musty smelling. With some cleaning and removal of all the dust collecting nick knacks the place could be amazing

Perfect Mystic location
We loved this property, just a short walk from the Mystic drawbridge and close to shops and restaurants. We especially loved the veranda for sitting and watching the boats coming out and returning. The house was quite roomy with two good sized bedrooms, a large dining room and spacious living room. The bathroom features a soaking tub! There was also a beautiful back deck that faces a famous sheer rock ledge that was perfect for morning coffee. The beds were comfortable and the A/C worked perfectly. The kitchen was well outfitted. It was a little loud for a brief period on Friday night, people coming and going to bars, restaurants, etc but it's really not a late night town so it quieted down quickly.

Daughter's Engagment
This property is a wonderful place tostay to enjoy the amienceof southeastern, CT. Growing up in nearby Stonington, Mystic, CT has a special place in our hearts. We all live now in New Orleans, LA and Mobile, AL. We made a special visit so that my now daughter's fiancee' could propose to her in the Mystic, CT area. This home provided us with the ambiance of homes past lived in in the area. It is perfect for families.. It allowed us to create a special memory within the home's surroundings. The property manager was very accessible and welcoming.

Perfect spot for graduation weekend!
Charming old house with marina view, walking distance to everything in Mystic. Good bathroom with new fixtures. So nice to find basics already in the kitchen like you would coming back to your own house!

Excellent location - makes you think of yester-year
My daughter and I stayed for a couple nights. The property is certainly quirky but looking at some of the details of the house you can not help but find yourself thinking of its existence since the mid-1800's (if our investigations were accurate). The treads on the stairs alone evoke images of the decades of use (unless they're original - then over a century!). Really enjoyed the property.

Cute vintage home close to everything
We love older homes and this one did not disappoint! It’s true what other reviewers have said, the stairs are steep and floors crooked so it’s not for everyone but the charm is immense and if you appreciate an older home full of history you will love this place! Walking distance to everything also!

Heart of Mystic
My wife and I arrived on a Wednesday evening, and everything was prepared for us. We unloaded the car and started on dinner first, learning the ins and outs of a new kitchen and preparing for our stay. We couldn't believe how close everything was! Every morning, we walked to breakfast (first it was Rise, then it was Sift, then it was down to the Mystic Depot Roasters), and we scoured that stretch of Main Street, exploring every store. The property manager stayed in constant contact (without being annoying!), and it was comforting to know that if we did run into any issues, they would be addressed immediately. It was a very comfortable stay, and we'd go again in a second.

Perfect location, excellent hosts
The home is exactly as advertised. It’s very clean and had everything we needed. Kevin gave detailed instructions regarding check in/out and was extremely helpful and prompt in communicating. It’s a short walk from the home to most of the downtown Mystic, but at the same time quiet and peaceful at night. We’d definitely stay here again!

Tremendous weekend
We couldn't ask for a better location. This beautiful old home was two blocks from Mystic pizza and everything that downtown Mystic has to offer. I will say, though we loved the house, it might not be for everyone. The eclectic collection of antiquities, angled floors and steep staircase might provide a challenge for the average traveler. Kevin and Michael provided detailed instructions prior to our arrival and were attentive to anything we might have needed. My family loved our two days in Mystic. We will definately be seeing you again. Thank you!!

Perfect Location!
Girls weekend for 3. Great location. Walked every day. Center is a quick 3-5 min walk. Restaurants, pubs, boutiques. Walked to Mystic Seaport. Draw bridge is unique. Meals/snacks: The Mariner; Mystic Pizza; Sift; The Treehouse Oyster Club; Captain Daniel Packer Inne - downstairs pub area (charming upstairs dining room also); Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream. Took most of our food home since there were so many great places to eat. No complaints about any establishment. House was immaculate, charming, interesting, comfortable. Perfect for a long weekend.

Awesome location!
We came to Mystic for a wedding and spent a few extra days. The location was awesome. Within walking distance to all the shops and many restaurants. The house is super charming, clean and had everything you need.

Wonderful trip to Mystic
We loved this rental, it was the perfect location to downtown Mystic! It was clean and stocked with all the necessities. The beds were comfortable and the kids loved the random toy and book selection. Would love to stay again someday for a longer trip!

Location with a dash of character
This historic cottage is located very slose to the main street in Mystic. This makes it very conveninet for exploring, but you do get some traffic noise. The parking fits 2 cars and is well marked. The owner was great at staying in touch and we had no problems at all getting in. The owners have decorated in a fun way and the house has great character. Our family was able to cook and even have a bbq with some friends. The kitchen was adequate, if a bit random in what was there, and the bedding for the pullout sofa was a bit hard to locate.

Short review
Very clean, well furnished. Close enough to downtown to walk, removed enough from downtown to avoid noise. A dozen restaurants, good shopping within a ten to twelve min. walk. Host Kevin gave us all the info and supplies we needed. A nearby bakery, Sift, may have the best baked goods anywhere.

Historic home
This rental is a historic duplex with a beautiful view and Great Downtown location. You can walk to everything. The owner Kevin was awesome and very accommodating. This home has all of the character, and uniqueness you could ask of a historic property and has convenient off street parking.

The house is historical but well kept, comfortable and charming, with many interesting items decorating it. The location is perfect for easy walking to downtown shops and restaurants. Wonderful 1845 house. Terrific location.
There were 4 of us; 2 couples. We spent a lovely spring weekend in Mystic. Kevin was a terrific host, responsive and quick to help. You couldn't ask for a better location--around the corner from the main part of town. We loved the uneven floors and quirkiness of the place. Yet it had good kitchen, easy to cook in. Lots of great restaurants in town. All adhered to Covid restrictions. We had a great time!

Convenient and comfortable home-away-from-home
My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at this roomy property. We appreciated the individual temperature controls for each room; the well-appointed kitchen; the overall cleanliness; the vintage decor; and especially the fantastic location. We barely used the car as everything in Mystic is within walking distance. Don't miss Sift which is a bakery worth an hour's drive, never mind a two-minute walk. Nice, relaxing getaway spot!

Super location and super comfortable
We had a great time. Mystic is pretty small so this is a perfect location---a two-minute walk from the main street, but still far enough away that it is quiet and has parking. The house is cozy and charming.

Wedding weekend
This is a great place to stay across from the boat pier and walking distance to the many shops and restaurants. Mystic gets crowded and you don’t have to worry about driving and parking! We enjoyed people ( and dog) watching from the front porch while having our morning coffee.

Fun Quaint Mystic Cottage
A cute place so reflective of Mystic! Easy walking to everything - we breakfasted, dined, did a little barhopping, shopped, and went to the Seaport...and never needed to move the cars which had nice off-street parking for 2. Loved both front porch & back deck; enjoyed being a part of the local activity. Very comfortable for 2 couples. Owner was communicative and responsive-all was as promised.

We loved it!!!
This property is perfect if you have kids. It’s nice and homey, my kids loved the old school toys. If you spend any amount of time at the property besides sleeping there are tons of board games, a deck with a grille, and you can literally walk to downtown. It’s a must book!

Easter with USCGA Cadet
Our family stayed in Mystic to spend Easter with our cadet. Perfect home for our needs. Space to play games, watch TV, eat around the large table. Older kids could walk downtown in the evening/later night. Sift Bake Shop was close for morning coffee. All the amenities were great. Bedrooms were comfortable, right amount of linens, temperature controls were perfect. Even had blankets we could use as we lounged on the couch to watch TV and chat (something I highly value when I stay in VRBO locations). Only caution.. the stairs upto the bedrooms and bathroom are steep. If you have anyone not so sure footed walking, this particular rental may not work.

The house was just what we were looking for. It was walking distance to restaurants and shopping in Mystic, without the noise of a busy Mothers Day weekend. Stayed with our two young children. Great price for a nice, clean 2-bedroom with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Walked to lots of great restaurants, brought back breakfast from Sift to enjoy on the porch (train and boat watching - made our two-year-old’s day) and a short drive to the aquarium. Would return!

It's a great old place right in the middle of everything you could possibly want to do!
We had a fabulous time on our two week vacation in Mystic. The house has so much character! And it's mighty handy to be located only 2 short blocks from Capt. Daniel Packer's fine eating and drinking establishment--more than a couple of late night port and crème brulee punctuations to the day. The old, gurgling furnace and the presence of snow plows doing their jobs were foreign but comforting noises for this South Texas girl. Quite charming! "Rise" for breakfast, "Sift" for coffee and spectacular baked goods, "The Oyster Club" for happy hour on the half shell, and the aforementioned Cpt. Packer. All 4 so very close to the house.

Quaint and charming.
Close proximity to shopping and restaurants. Had everything we needed. Owners are kind and responsive. Property on somewhat of a busy street so good to keep in mind due to the age of the building and windows when it comes to noise. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the ambiance of this carriage house and would likely return in the future...
