We really enjoyed our stay at Pause at the Pier. The house was very clean, close to the beach, and a few steps from the pool. The house also comes stocked with all the essentials you need to take down to the beach. Thomas was a great host, and communicated extremely well with us. I’d highly recommend this property to those looking for a place to stay at the beach.

Great property really close to the beach. Loved the ice maker in kitchen. The property owner allowed us to use the beach gear stored in the outer storage unit. That was a plus for sure. Overall experience was excellent.

Sweet spot near the pier

It is a very nice and clean house. It's located near places to eat, rentals, bars, groceries, surf shops and a pier. The beds were really nice and comfortable. The living room had a spacious couch and big TV. The owner was super nice and easy to get a hold of. The beach is right across the street with white sand. Super place that I would recommend to anyone.

Hurricane getaway

A perfect spot for a weekend getaway, even with the effects of Hurricane Helene. The house is comfortable and my adult kids and I enjoyed quality time together in the area. It was nice not to have to pack all of our beach gear and use what was available at the house.

1st Time in SC - Great Stay

This was our first time in SC, and we enjoyed it tremendously. Our stay was great, the food in SC is fantastic, and there was plenty to do. We chose this location to stay out because we were able to bring our two dogs. Our host Thomas met us when we arrived, showed us around, and gave us a lot of great tips on how to enjoy the week. We would definitely stay again and I highly recommend - A++ for cleanliness, hospitality, and all the in-home amenities you could ask for. Great stay!

This is a lovely, clean beach house right in the center of town. It is only one block from the beach. Mr. Wenneman was extremely considerate and responded to any questions promptly. The shared pooled is very well maintained and was great for my youngest child. If there is anything negative to say, it would only be that the beach was extremely crowded. It is right in the center of town and some of the teens of Friday and Saturday night were a bit loud and obnoxious-but you can get that anywhere. All in all, we were very pleased and completely enjoyed our stay and all the restaurants the owner suggested to us. We would come back again!

Beautiful home, Perfect location!

If this home is available for your dates of travel, stop looking and BOOK IT! The home is beautiful and thoughtfully decorated, perfectly stocked with all you need, very comfortable beds, and just one block from the pier and beach. We loved people watching from the deck, enjoyed the beach at day and walking the pier at night listening to bands. Kids loved fishing from pier all hours of the day. Thomas was a pleasure to work with. Wonderful!

Vacation Perfection!

Thomas offers a great vacation experience! I’ve stayed in a lot of beach homes and this is the best stocked one I’ve ever stayed in. It was nice not to have to run out every day for odds and ends! The home is beautiful, clean, and just steps to the beach! Location is great too within walking distance to the pier, mini grocery, diner, and ice cream! Book it! You won’t be disappointed ! I’ll be coming back to this one myself.

All the Comforts of Home

Lovely beach rental

We really enjoyed staying at this rental! The location is amazing for Murrell's inlet marsh walk, Garden city pier and the short walk to the beach is so convenient. We would definitely stay here again! Thomas is very kind and helpful!

The CLEANEST place I have stayed

This was the absolute cleanest place I have ever stayed in at the beach or anywhere for that matter. The location is fantastic, so close to everything. There are convenient labels on the light switches and throughout the home. The bed in the master is super comfy. The house is very pet friendly 😁. Thomas was amazing! So warm and friendly and super helpful!!!! We definitely enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again!!
