"We were in town for three days of SCUBA diving. This place is a great location for Olympus (just a few blocks) and Discovery (just 4 miles). It was really nice to come back to a spacious place for the family and loved having a kitchen to make lunch for long days on the boat. Very clean and cozy. Jenny was prompt in all our communications and very easy to work with. We would happily stay here again. "

"This is an excellent property for your stay in Morehead City. The owner has everything you could possibly need or want stocked at the property. The pictures in the owner's listing are accurate. Everything shown is really there, plus more. The kitchen is fully stocked as is the garage. From towels to trash bags the owner assures you have more supplies than you could need. Having the washer and dryer is a plus for any beach trip. Property is well maintained and beautifully decorated....

"This is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a home away from home. The pool is perfectly delightful. The house has plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves. It’s close to the beach and amenities in the area. The property also has all kinds of outdoor games and activities to keep children occupied. I would not hesitate to rent this property again."

"What an amazing house! We loved our stay here. We were a group of 10 ladies who came to celebrate 3 milestone birthdays. We had an amazing time swimming, kayaking, exploring, eating and laughing. There was an appliance issue but there was great communication and solutions to help get it fixed. It was very clean and had lots of things here available for use (shampoo, soap, toiletries, spices, etc) which was nice to not have to bring. Walmart is directly up the street so was nice for last...

"The home is very cozy, with an open floor plan. It has all of the amenities necessary for a pleasant visit, for a few days to a few weeks. The host was friendly and helpful. Our dog loved the place too. The fenced back yard and back deck, at once became our favorite spot to relax. We loved our stay, and would gladly return on our next visit. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at White Oak. The homes were well appointed with everything you could need. We celebrated three birthdays the youngest turning 21 and the oldest 90. Many never left the property enjoying the private beach, breezes off the sound and shade from the lovely trees. While others visited local attractions, restaurants and of course the beach. Our multi generational family had a wonderful time and would love to do it all over again!!"

"This is a beautiful property. Plenty of room to accommodate our eleven adults and one grandchild. The pool and hot tub got a lot of use through the week. Both were clean and well maintained. Deck space was plenty for our group to spread out. Great ocean view and nice, clean beach. The two kitchens was a nice plus (especially the two refrigerators- one for food, one for beverages. Would happily stay here again. "

"Place was very convenient to the beach and Atlantic Beach restaurants. Small but had everything I needed! Kitchen was well stocked for a couple or small family. It’s a little weird not having a bathroom sink, but the kitchen sink is directly outside the bathroom door and there is a mirror behind the sink so it didn’t feel too odd, and the full size shower was nice. "We love staying at the Sandlot! This was our 3rd year renting this cottage and we have already booked it again for summer of 2026! We are a family of 8 adults and 7 grandchildren- the layout of the rooms/ bedrooms is perfect for us. The close proximity to the gorgeous beach is a plus, along with the fenced in pool. "Comfortable beach house. My family loved the amount of space inside, the location to the beach was also a major bonus. My only downside was that all the beds, except 1, had plastic mattress covers, which made sleeping difficult. But for the price, the house is perfect. "
