We really enjoyed our stay at this house— the setting is perfect for a multi family stay with two separate living areas on each floor. The pond outside was beautiful and so serene. We loved sitting out in the deck in the morning just taking it all in. The house was impeccably clean upon arrival, and we loved that it has a washer and dryer. The check in process was incredibly simple, which we really appreciated because that’s not always the case with vacation rentals. The marina is super close to the house which is really nice and the pool was walking distance!! We would definitely come back to Steve’s place again, highly recommend! Thank you for the memories!

Great little Cottage!

Nice place. Enjoyed our trip. Close to the Lake! We have been spoiled from stays in Hocking Hills, OH. None of us was very happy with the beds. My mattress was worn and should be replaced - sank in the middle. Be sure to bring your own dishwasher and laundry soap. Also kitchen garbage bags as only 2 were provided.

Weekend getaway

This was the best lil weekend getaway! We had our family and friends there to relax and play. Our boys enjoyed the pond… lots of turtles but we did catch a couple fish. We enjoyed the covered porch during the day and the bon fire pit at night. The volleyball court offered us some unexpected competitive fun between the adults and the teenagers. We had everything we needed at the house and then some. Beautiful hiking nearby too. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Beautiful, quiet and serene

We loved Ginger and would definitely stay again. We originally booked for Christmas 2022 but Donna was still recuperating from surgery and was not able to travel yet. Steve Allen was so gracious to allow us to change our dates for October of this year. Perfect getaway and the gold and red leaves were amazing. Enjoyed the back patio and the lake deck so much!

Beautiful setting and great location

Location and setting was great and the house was very nice. There was issues with the water heater but once that is replaced it’s a nice place to stay and very close to our favorite marina!

Nice little Thanksgiving getaway

We had a very nice time here for Thanksgiving. We were a family of 4 and a dog and the house was comfortable. Just an FYI- My 11 year old said it was very hard to get up and down from the top bunk in the one room.

Nice for a weekend get-away

Quiet and peaceful little community. My husband commented thisbwas the first rental we've stated in that actually felt like a home, and I agree with him. It was very comfortable and well-stocked. The downstairs area has a very convenient layout - I can definitely see how a family would love it here with parents downstairs and kids upstairs.

Fall Break stay at Ginger House

The check in process was easy and the house was very clean when we arrived. Everything was in good working order and the experience was over all excellent. I was a little let down with the fishing in the pond behind the house as between my son and I we only caught one fish (we are both experienced competitive anglers) and were planning to just fish for the fun of it, but the ambiance and beauty of the pond was fantastic and I’m sure the fish that are in there are fairly pressured. I would recommend for anyone attempting to sleep on the pull couches or bunk beds be under the age of 10ish or bring some sort of sleeping cushion or just sleep on the couches with the cushions as my teenagers are a little bigger and weren’t terribly comfortable, but we fully intend to return to location and just bring blow up mattresses for them. All in all it’s a wonderful place and I would recommend it to anyone

Nice stay close to Lake Cumberland.

Very clean well laid out rental. I can’t think of anything we didn’t enjoy. 5 minute drive to Marina where we easily rented a boat. Close enough to restaurants and other things to do. We drove to the Dam and the National Trout hatchery you can fish right there behind the hatchery, plenty of trout. We didn’t catch any fish in the fishing pond but they are definitely in there. I saw a number of bass, bluegills turtles and a large carp. The fishing and boating at Lake Cumberland is excellent. I would rent this unit again if the family wants to come back! Great experience and memories with the family.
