  • El TreeTop House en Monteverde se encuentra a poca distancia de la Reserva privada Curi Cancha y a poca distancia en coche de la Reserva del Bosque Nuboso de Monteverde. La encantadora casa artística se encuentra a 150 m de la carretera principal hacia la Reserva del Bosque Nuboso Monteverde. A 200 m del CPI y del Instituto Monteverde. 600 m de la escuela de amigos de Monteverde y de la escuela de bosque nuboso CEC. También un paseo muy corto al pueblo de Sta. Elena La casa está etiquetada a 150 m de la carretera principal al final del camino de entrada con mucho estacionamiento privado y mucha privacidad. El jardín exterior con sala de estar invita a observar pájaros o simplemente tomar un café con su familia y / o amigos.

    Todos los operadores turísticos lo recogen aquí ya que la casa es conocida. Esto hace de este lugar un lugar único para quedarse. Una joya escondida lejos de la multitud.

    Los grandes ventanales te permiten sentir que estás viviendo entre los árboles. La casa está diseñada en 4 pisos, con conexión a la puerta bajo techo. Cada piso tiene una entrada privada desde el exterior. Esto hace que la casa sea divertida de descubrir, jugar a las escondidas, ser acogedor en un piso o tener diferentes actividades en cada piso.

The treetop house was so fun, the kids loved it especially. It is so unique it is difficult to describe. The layout and the kitchen make it feel more like glamping then a vacation house but we adjusted nicely. We did manage to cook meals for all 11 of us in the kitchen and on the grill, the cooking area is small but doable. The bedrooms are comfy and the location is great. Sabine was so helpful in setting up our tours and answering all of our questions.

Our stay at the TreeTop House was one of the most memorable parts of our Costa Rica adventure.If you’re looking for a polished luxury resort, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for an experience you’ll still be reminiscing about months later, you’ve found it.The house truly feels like Swiss Family Robinson tucked into the cloud forest. The photos are accurate, and waking up in the canopy surrounded by birds and the sounds of the forest was unforgettable. Nearly six months later, my family and I are still talking about our time there.Sabine was an excellent host. Her communication was prompt, thoughtful, and detailed. Be sure to follow her driving instructions rather than relying solely on GPS as they made finding the property easy.This is the kind of place that becomes part of your travel story. It encouraged us to slow down, embrace the adventure, and experience Monteverde in a way that a standard hotel never could.We would absolutely stay here again, and we sincerely appreciate Sabine sharing such a unique place with travelers.

We had a great stay. Eclectic place. Wish the kitchen had a microwave and some type of condiments. The water wouldn’t get hot so with 10 people, the showers were pretty cool at times. A few more towels would have been great. We had to outside to use the closest bathroom, so at night, a little scary and cold.

The house was as described, which was fun to explore with our kids. The location was very convenient and it was easy to communicate with the host. It was a little challenging to do dishes for our large crew in the small sink, but we managed and enjoyed the adventure.

AMAZING

Such an awesome and unique place to stay. Everything is comfortable and cozy while the outdoor areas encourage you to be outside and enjoy the nature. Perfect for anyone wanting the full Monteverde experience. Super friendly and accommodating owner.

Everything about this property is unique, the way it has been built on the side of a jungle cliff, the design of every room is amazing and there is loads of space. A memorable part of our holiday. The owner was very helpful with advice on excursions and it close to the major attractions

Unique and fun property

This was a fun place to stay. I loved sitting on the porch in the mornings with my coffee watching all the birds. My only suggestion, I would have loved a sofa/lounge area where we could all comfortably hang out

Amazing house!

One of the most unique homes we've ever stayed in. Great experience. A little spooky for the kids at first because of the wind, but that was a part of what made for such a great experience. Location and host were amazing as well! Incredibly responsive and helpful.

We stayed 4 different places on our trip and tried to pick unique accommodations at each stop. The Treetop House did not disappoint. We were shocked at how spacious it was. So many areas to explore and all with fun decor. We were only 7 but this could accommodate a much bigger group without feeling crowded. The kicthen is a bit rustic but it worked just fine. We enjoyed our stay - the kids absolutely loved it - and we would stay again.

Very unique place traveled with a bunch of teenagers and they loved exploring this property. Good communication. A lot of creaks in the flooring so pretty noise with all the kids running around about still a fun quick stay

Unique house

Spent Christmas break with my daughters and their children. The house was perfect for providing privacy for our party of 8 that included 4 teenagers who appreciated having some personal space. Sabine was a most wonderful host - helping plan our activities, securing reservations and recommending knowledgeable guides. Plenty of nearby restaurants, shops and vistas to explore .

great for a short stay

Anduin's review is spot on for both pluses and minuses. It is a great place to spend a couple days but I think the quirks would quickly turn to annoyances if we were staying longer than that.

Great Time at a Quirky Place in the Cloud Forest

My family with 5 boys spent a couple nights at the Treetop House and had a great time. The place is huge. Very artsy and unique. Much more of a rustic experience, though we personally were fine with it, just be prepared!

It's really in the trees

We loved this very funky house! Plenty of bedrooms for all, and several spaces to gather and watch wildlife. We saw toucans, parrots, monkeys, and even a pair of golden-browed chlorophonia. Within walking distance of several restaurants and Curi-Cancha Reserve. Sabine is communicative and very helpful.

Top-tier host, charming property in a magical place

Monteverde is a magical place, and the treehouse offers a great location, charm, and amazing host for new and returning visitors. Sabine offered insightful advice and help with sketching out and booking an itinerary and was attentive in all communication. The various levels of the treehouse have private access points/keys so you can easily allow groups to spread out and get some space for individual privacy and downtime while easily being able to reconnect as a whole group. Completely luscious surroundings and beauty. It's a very special property in a place the whole world should strive to visit.

Treehouse in the forest

The property is whimsical and charming, but a lot of stairs and different areas are not connected to each other. Fairly close to town and some shops and coffee houses. Great views of the forest. Loved hearing the birds in the morning. The kitchenette was bare bones and not easy to cook in. We ended up going out for more meals than we planned on.

A great escape in the trees

The name says it all - this is the perfect getaway in the forest for a large group or family (we had 11). The house is multi-leveled with outdoor access to each level. The outdoor stairway is cleverly sheltered by an external roof, which is perfect since it's in the cloud forest and there were frequent mist showers with a gentle warmness from the forest. We loved looking into the forest as birds and animals came right to us. It's rustic because of its location, so the house has a simple kitchen but we found the showers great, the beds comfortable, and enjoyed our stay so much. Best of all, Sabine, our house, was amazing in helping us find the best local tours and guides while we were there. She was very patient and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this rental house.

Unique home

Pros- the host is very helpful with booking activities in town for my family. Lots of beds so great place for several people. House is near cute local cafes and art shops and walking distance to a beautiful waterfall. Cons- the floors creak so much. You can hear every footstep from the floor above. There was no hot water so I hope you enjoy cold water showers with very little water pressure. The bottom level shower head is over the toilet. Whoever is using the bathroom after you has to basically dry the entire bathroom and toilet because there is no shower curtain. The beds are very hard. Bring your own pillows and bath towels.

Amazing Treetop House

Our 8 person stay in the Treetop House was great! It was a little difficult to find, in the rain, but we managed. If you're visiting, the driveway to the property is next to a golden round globe. We drove past it a couple of times! The house itself is super interesting. Lots of fun spaces, funky decor, and a maze of interconnected rooms. You really are in the trees, and the experience is well worth it. I have a super sensitive nose, so some of the earthy smells of the woods inside the home threw me off, but the host was super responsive, listened to my concerns and quickly attempted to address them. The kids, ages 11-19, loved that they had their own space, in some cases their own floor, and didn't want to leave. All in all, I recommend staying here if you're into eclectic, natural spaces.

Fun, rustic house

This house is a bit unusual but in a good location with lots of space. Be prepared for some steep outdoor staircases though! The rooms were nice with enough space for everyone to spread out. The views of the trees and the visiting birds were great. The house was closer to "civilization" than I expected. On the up side this meant there were about 4 restaurants, two hiking areas / reserves, and a shopping area within walking distance. CASEM is in the shopping area and has great souvenirs. There is a small market next to it with basics like milk but also flour and sugar. Not many American brands though. There is also a nice selection of milk, cheese, and bread at the Cheese Factory. However being so close to all these things meant we had more road noise than I expected. Not bad, but I really didn't expect any. It was mostly noticeable in the morni g and late afternoon. There was also noise between floors (mostly walking on the floorboards) but once everyone was settled for the night it was quiet. We had a little problem with hot water and toilets but not too significant. Kitchen was better than expected, although small. Knives were dull but plenty of dishes, pots and pans, etc. The stairs are not for the faint of heart, especially in rain and/or dark. No one fell or anything but everyone was nervous especially if the were carrying something. Overall we really enjoyed our time there and would recommend it.
