Monterosso is a gem
The home was what we expected. The overall spot was very nice, part of a villa, with a driveway gate just outside what appears to be a Repunzel-like tower. Right near a public beach that was quite nice. The place is in the newer part of Monterosso, which is lovely, but the old part is more magical. All nearby to walk to & from. Taking trains to nearby other Cinqueterre towns is easy, and a must do. Eat, drink & absorb it all in. I hope I live long enough to return there many times in my life. The place is near everything, even though it's on the far end of the newer part of the town. I don't recommend driving there, even though that's what I did, but it has a private parking area which is imperative if you need to drive there. Getting there & back is a little nuts by car, especially at night. The trains are right nearby, near the beaches. Very easy to get there by train, although hopefully the union workers won't strike when you go (we just missed that when we were there in late June 2024).
