Close to beach, Monterey and Carmel

This is our 3rd stay in this house and we love the location and proximity to the beach. Our dog also loves the area for walks. The house is comfortable and close to so many things to do. We will definitely be back next year!

I’d like to love this house

The house is at a great location, very quiet and it’s a 10 minute walk to the ocean. The scenery is beautiful. The yard is also lovely. However, the house is not well maintained. We had issues with dishwasher and washer. The only comfortable seat to sit on in the entire house is the leather sofa in the living room. The other 4 chairs are all sagging and very uncomfortable to sit in. With 700 a night, I definitely didn’t expect that we had to hand wash dishes and couldn’t gather around in the living room due to lack of comfortable seating options. The owner did respond to my complaints but nothing was done during our stay. We are extremely disappointed.

Pebble Beach hideaway

We had a perfect family stay in this cute house in the Del Monte forest. The three bedrooms were very comfortable; the kitchen well stocked and the garden an added bonus for both us and the dog! The location was ideal – just a short walk to the beach and pathways along 17-mile drive.

Ideal location in the forest

My husband and I were married here and returned with our 4 children ages 1-9. We are very familiar with the area and chose this property due to the closeness to the water and accessibility from different parts of the peninsula. There were plenty of beds, we did all of the fun things in the area with ease, and the kids said playing in their room was the highlight! The host is very kind and understanding.

A great property especially if travelling with a dog. Excellent location, a short 10 minute walk to a magnificient beach. Jackie is a great host and easy to communicate with. Looking forward to our next stay.

Somewhat disappointed

I was hoping to give an excellent review however, I cannot. The beginning of the week all was pretty good. The positive...Great location. The negative...The tv stopped working, I emailed the host 3 times letting them know the tv was NOT working. Never got a response so I called the neighbor as the paperwork said to do and once again NO response.... And this was during the world series, which we were huge fans, and we were expecting to be able to watch it. Another negative was the couch... It was very old and very lumpy, quite uncomfortable.. I wish that I could say we would stay there again, but we will not. When you are the host, you should respond within a reasonable amount of time. We never got a response from anyone.

Friends get-together

The house was perfect for the four of each, since each of us wanted their own bed. The location is perfect; not too far from there water and Pacific Grove and Carmel with lots of restaurants. We meet every year and this is one of the best places we've stayed!

Wonderful Neighborhood

The house is inside the 17 mile drive area. We loved the back patio area where we could relax and feel like part of the forest. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. We really enjoyed the serinity. Checkout was a breeze. All kitchen equipment is available (cups, silverware, pans, etc.). Thank you so much!!!

Relaxing Pebble Beach Home

The four in our family, along with our daughter’s small dog, enjoyed staying here for four nights. The neighborhood is quiet. The vacation home is clean, has comfortable beds, a nice kitchen, and a lovely backyard. The beach is an easy walk from the house. All the lovely things the Monterey and Carmel areas have to offer are close by.

Wonderful location

We had a wonderful weekend stay, such a great location with an easy walk to the beach and Pebble Beach facilities. Easy to get to Monterey and Carmel for day trips (10 min drive). The house is a little run down but nothing that stopped us enjoying our stay. We would definitely go again!

The excitement of a major storm

We arrived just after a major storm had damaged much of the Monterey Peninsula, and caused a city wide power outage for 3 days. The owners had organized a generator so we were cozy. The maintenance person checked in on us and made sure we knew how to run it and topped us up with fuel. Impressive. The house was comfortable, with a lovely garden and in a wonderful location. Heartily recommend this rental.

Christmas with Family

Our recent stay at the property on The Old Drive could not have been better. The location was perfect with a close walk to the beach as well as from extended family who were also in the area. The sounds from the ocean while sitting in the back yard was more than relaxing. I cannot recommend this property enough and will definitely keep this in mind for future visits.

Very nice new year stay

Very clean and cozy house with everything needed. So close to 17 miles! We walked everyday from the house to Spanish Bay, then all the way to Chinese Rock :)

Perfect house & location

My family of 2 young adult children with my husband and I had a great vacation at this cozy house. It’s 2 blocks from the beach and golf courses with beautiful views and walking trails. Quiet neighborhood. Comfy beds, hot showers and nice kitchen. It was perfect for us and we hope to return!
