"The towels were dirty, though they changed it the new ones were the same as old ones. Food was the worst part, nothing was available except tea and coffee. "Reception struggled to find our reservation at check in. Room was basic, Very hard double bed. Kettle and a jug of water was supplied at check in, no further water given and room does not get made up. We were in the main building annexe and it obviously had not been used for some time, smelt and felt damp. I know we are in the mountains and should expect lower temperatures. We were told hot water would only be available 7-10 both mornings and evenings but we had to ring reception several times...

"Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in einer wunderbaren, leicht abgeschiedenen Atmosphäre. Es waren leider noch einige Bauarbeiten auf dem Gelände, die meist jedoch nicht störten. Man kann (gegen Aufpreis) ein Lagerfeuer bekommen und draußen Musik hören. Muß man mal abwarten, wohin sich das noch entwickelt. Zuviel wäre sicherlich der Atmosphäre abträglich. Werde ziemlich sicher wiederkommen und würde mich freuen, wenn es dann bessere Leseleuchten am Bett gibt."

"The Ibex property has one of the best views in all of Coonoor. We visited some of the higher end hotels and found that the views did not compare to that of Ibex. The bungalow is a old heritage style, gorgeous bungalow , the staff is very very sweet and helpful, and it's very worth the price! They even provide a good breakfast, games and books on request, and gave us a little goodbye token which was so warm and loving! "
