"This was such a peaceful, perfect location with an incredible view up on the mountain! It was like an escape from the real world and felt so refreshing. My gaming-obsessed 12 year old son said he would give up games if we could move there 😂 The hosts were great and very responsive and we had no issues with anything. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The first night we were there we made tinfoil dinners on the campfire and then s'mores afterwards. The stars are amazing outside of the city...

"Squirrel's Nest is an absolutely charming cottage in a quaint town. Great location & perfect for our needs. We only stayed a weekend, to attend the Sounds of the Mountains storytelling festival at nearby Camp Bethel. We hope to go back when we can stay longer, to see more of the town & surrounding area."

"This was just what we needed. It was nice to unplug for a few days and just enjoy our family with no distractions. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We made s’mores on the fire and cooked steaks on the grill. There is a lot of things to do within a short distance."

Thankful it is pet friendly! Great communication from the owner, too. Be aware that the upstairs room and downstairs room and the downstairs bathroom don’t have any sound or light privacy. As long as you know not to expect that, it’s not a problem. :)"

"Would highly recommend. The cabin is cozy on the inside with a peaceful backyard with deck and a firepit with wood pile. Very much enjoyed the location and during the daytime we explored the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway. The Appalachian Trail is a quarter of a mile away with a car park for a day hike. Thanks!"

"Very charming loft with fully equipped kitchen. Very homey feel. The little sofa was comfortable and the washer/dryer with detergent was a nice bonus. There wasn't really a functioning dining table though since the leaf didn't stay up, but it was just me so it didn't bother me. The bathroom sink should probably be replaced but maybe some people like the "old world" feel. Happy with my stay and hope to stay again next time I'm in town."
