Family holiday in march 2024

Zentral gelegene Wohnung mit Liebe zum Detail
Die Wohnung liegt zentral in der Altstadt von Monopoli und ist hübsch eingerichtet mit viel Kunst. Es ist sehr sauber und die Dachterrasse bietet einen super Ausblick! Marco ist hilfsbereit und hat uns auch empfangen als wir erst spät am Abend ankommen, um uns alles zu erklären!

sejour tres agreable
Situation de la location rien de mieux 100m de la plage appartement atypique pas pour de jeunes enfants 3 etages avec des marches tres hautes manque un peu d,ustensiles de cuisine mais la situation parfaite pour voir la cote

Über den Dächern der historischen Altstadt
Wir fanden ein sehr schönes und gepflegtes Haus in bester Lage vor - mit liebevollen Details und interessanten Kunstwerken. Die Dachterrasse ist charmant mit bezauberndem Panorama. Marco ist ein sehr guter Gastgeber und hat uns noch spät abgeholt als unser Zug eine Panne hatte. Ich empfehle diese Wohnung sehr für einen Aufenthalt in Monopoli (und ja - die Treppen sind steil...)

Chic home near the sea! Didn't want to leave.
The home is in an amazing location in the old town, walking distance to great bars, restaurants and the seaside. The rooftop was our favourite place to enjoy lunches and evening drinks. The home is beautifully decorated and the art in the house is fabulous. The beds were comfortable. If we return to Monopoli, we will definitely stay here again!

vacances très agréables.Monopoli est une très jolie ville , notamment pour son petit port de pêche qui nous a beaucoup plu ! La location est située dans un quartier animé et près de tout ( restaurants, bars , boulangerie, petits commerces....) et plages à proximité...Nous avons été bien guidé par Marco pour notre arrivée et merci à sa soeur et son beau frère pour être venus nous chercher à la gare !

May 2023 Monopoli
We're 4 ladies from Tennessee, who rotated in 2's and 3's staying in Marco's 3 story home in Monopoli. We walked cliff lines, swam in the Adriatic, found train routes, met fishermen, toured cities, an Olive tree farm & 2 Unesco Heritage sites; all on foot. Old town was both central and convenient as a location. Marco was easy to communicate with by text. We had no problems- though we did find the washer challenging. We took the train to Lecce, Polignano a Mare, Bari, Mola di Bari, Ostuni & Brindisi, or enjoyed a beach day in Monopoli. It was no trouble to hire a car to Alberobello & an Olive tree farm. Matera was an all day train trip, but well worth it. There was no better end to the day, than getting back to our lovely 3 story, Old Town base. We would count the stairs to encourage us, up to enjoy the rooftop terrace, looking out along the coastline and sea. Thank you Marco- we had a great time- miss a -

Not what we had hoped for
Although we were aware from previous reviews that the house was on several levels we were not aware of quite how many levels and how very steep the steps were, it really felt a bit like mountain climbing. However, our main disappointment with the property was that there was nowhere to relax for a family of 4 as on the first floor where sitting room-kitchen is situated there was only a sofa for 2 and dining table with not terribly comfortable chairs. On the top floor where the terrace is situated again only dining table with chairs and no sofas or anything comfortable to sit on. Last but not least we had requested for the downstairs bedroom and extra bathroom to be opened so that our adult kids could have a bedroom each unfortunately there was no toilet seat on this loo, which considering that the owner charges extra for more persons was very disappointing. All in all the property did not feel looked after with several items not working properly. On a plus point the location was perfect.

In all multi-storey houses in the historic center of Monopoli, there are typical stairs, and this is well written in the website. otherwise how is it possible to get to the terrace?? 🤣🤣 You are the first, in many years, who doesn't like the house, as evidenced by the many reviews... A blackout caused a burnt out light bulb, which I promptly brought to you. And I'm sorry, unfortunately I didn't notice that the tourists who preceded you, had broken the toilet seat, which is already being replaced. But these are very small problems that can happen. I'm sorry.

Great vacation
Everything was perfect. We enjoyed that very much. I would like to point out, that the apartment has 3 floors and steep stairs so for people with limited mobility it is not a great choice. True is that is apartment has a real charm.

casa bella!
sehr nettes haus im zentrum der altstadt 5 min zu fuß zum stadtstrand. 3 geschosse und dach terrasse im eg kleines appartement mit extra bad erstes geschoss esszimmer und kochnische 2. schlafzimmer und zimmer mit zwei weiteren betten und bad darüber eine tolle dach terrasse mit tisch liege und pflanzen… sauber und netter besitzer immer wieder!

Magique
Le logement était très bien. Situé dans le centre historique et piéton . Tout est accessible à pieds. Plage,boutiques,bars,restaurants,pubs,glaciers.... Concerts de rues réguliers. Zone touristique et bruyante mais cela fait partie du jeu. La terrasse est superbe pour des fins de soirées au frais. Je conseille vivement . Le stationnement du véhicule est à faire à la sortie de la zone piétonne mais on peut pas tout avoir. La zone idéalement située permet de tout faire sans avoir recours à la voiture durant le séjour.

Perfekte Lage (zentral, ruhig, Meeresblick), Strände und Stadt fußläufig erreichbar!
Dieses Haus ist ein schmales Eckhaus mitten in der Altstadt von Monopoli, aber dennoch ruhig gelegen. Der Stadtstrand ist drei Gehminuten entfernt. Wunderschöne kleine Buchten sind in 20 Minuten fußläufig südlich von Monopoli zu erreichen. Die Altstadt ist lebhaft, aber ohne Trubel (Ostersaison). Es gibt einen kleinen Hafen, alles sehr malerisch. Die Stadt ist auch außerhalb der Altstadt eine liebenswerte Stadt mittlerer Größe, sehr angenehm. Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Sehr zuverlässiger und hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Haus erstreckt sich über vier Etagen. Kleine Einliegerwohnung im EG, dann Wohnzimmer mit Küche im 1. OG, zwei Schlafzimmer im 2.OG und schließlich als Highlight eine niedliche Dachterasse mit Meerblick, Esstisch, Liegestuhl und Wäscheständer. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und sauber, Fotos entsprechen der Realität. Für die Nebensaison (da hatte ich etwas Sorge, denn es war kühl): gute Heizung. Wir waren als Familie zu viert da und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Auch zu fünft oder sechst würde gehen dank der Einliegerwohnung mit Dusche im EG. Ausflugsziele (Polignano, Ostuni, Bari etc.) gut mit dem Zug zu erreichen. Wir hatten Abreisekomplikationen, die nichts zur Sache tun, der Vermieter war prompt und immer erreichbar und hat uns sehr geholfen.

We will come back
We were in the Appartement for 6 Nights and really enjoyed it! The landlord was very nice and the Communication Worked perfektly Fine with Google translate. The City is beautiful and around the Appartement are Many Restaurants, Cafés and ice cleam shops within an 5 minutes walking distance. You reach the City Beach in 2 minutes by feet.

La casa è nella posizione ideale per lasciarsi andare alle suggestioni del paese vecchio con i suoi magnifici palazzi settecenteschi, i severi monasteri, la vivace vita notturna. La casa è accogliente, confortevole e fornita di tutto il necessario. Arredata con passione è impreziosita dalle opere in terracotta policroma realizzate dal padre dell'host. Dalla terrazza si gode di un incantevole panorama che spazia dalle forme rococò di palazzo Palmieri al mare di Capitolo. Marco si è rivelato un host sempre attento alle esigenze dei suoi ospiti.

Tolle Unterkunft in der wunderschönen Altstadt von Monopoli
Marco war ein sehr netter und aufmerksamer Gastgeber. Er hat auf jede Nachricht schnell geantwortet und geholfen. Die Unterkunft liegt mitten in der Altstadt die wunderschön ist. Der Strand ist 2 min Fußweg entfernt. Supermärkte und sehr gute Restaurants + Bars sind auch nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Uns hat bei der Unterkunft die Terrasse am besten gefallen. Dort haben wir immer zusammen gegessen und den Abend ausklingen lassen. Ich kann die Unterkunft nur empfehlen!

Traditional house in the heart of beautiful Monopoli
Our family (my husband and 2 school kids) has spent a very nice week in this typical house. There is a great view from the roof terrace (you even can see the sea), though quite hot in the mornings (but afternoons and evenings were OK). There was enough space for all four of us, but I have noticed there were some additional mattresses and also the sofa in the kitchen/living room could be transformed into bed. The kitchen is small, but we have been expecting this, so no problem for us at all. There are also 2 balconies which was a great fun for us to watch all the hustle in the narrow streets. I definately would like to return one day to Monopoli, a great place, at the same time not so touristic, the sea (beach) is just a stone away from the house. Thank you for a nice vacation, Marco!

Bel emplacement dans très belle ville
Jolie petite maison typique en centre ville avec une agréable terrasse. Ne pas avoir peur des marches :-) Bien pour une famille, sans doute moins adaptée si 2 couples. Bel emplacement dans rue piétonne avec petits commerces et restaurants a proximité.

Nous avons passé 3 semaines à Monopoli et séjourné dans la très jolie maison typique de Marco. La maison se situe dans le centre historique à deux pas de tous les commerces, de la plage de Porta Veccia et des divers restaurants. La situation est idéale, tout peut être fait à pieds. La maison est décoré avec beaucoup de goût, l'atmosphère y est très agréable et le toit terrasse parfait pour y dîner. La maison est très bien équipée avec de la jolie vaisselle et de belles parures de draps. Marco s'est montré extrêmement sympathique dès nos premiers contacts et toujours charmant et disponible tout le long de notre séjour. Nous reviendrons très prochainement savourer la charme de cette maison. Merci Marco We stayed 3 weeks in Monopoli in the very nice typical Marco house. The house is located in the historical center, a stone's throw from all the shops, Porta Veccia beach and various great restaurants. The localisation is perfect, everything can be done on foot. The house is tastefully decorated, The atmosphere is very pleasant and the roof terrace perfect for dinner. The house is very well equipped with nice crockery and beautiful bed linen. Marco was extremely friendly from our first contacts and always charming and available throughout our stay. We will return soon to savor the charm of this house. Thanks Marco

beautiful property in the old town
It is a very beautiful traditionel house with space enough for a couple with a child in one of the best places in the old town. Around the corner you have a Minimarket for daily food and also some restaurants. And a clean beach! The owner is friendly and so we spend a great time there. Very advisable!

Schön eingerichtetes Haus in der Altstadt
Wir haben eine Woche in dem schönen Haus von Marco verbracht und können dieses nur weiterempfehlen! Das Haus ist mit schönen Möbeln und Antiquitäten liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles ist sehr persönlich und geschmackvoll ausgestattet. Super Dachterrasse - sogar mit Meeresblick! Gute Lage in der Altstadt, unweit der Porta Antica. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Soggiorno perfetto!
Situata nel pieno centro di monopoli, possiede tutte le caratteristiche tipiche delle case dei centri storici della zona. Si sviluppa su più piani con un magnifico terrazzo vista mare in cima. È stata ristrutturata recentemente ed si presenta accogliente e pulita. Il proprietario è stato molto gentile e disponibile con noi, la consiglio vivamente!
