The place is beautiful and worked great for our family! Spacious and comfy. The only issues were the alarm going off any time the sliding door was open for a bit. Also, need some oven mitts :)

Family Vacay

Everything was great. Only suggestion is the room floors was so dirty our infants feet and knees turned black before we realized how bad it was in the room. Everything else was just as shared and we loved our stay!

The setup was perfect for everyone and the resort amenities were good. Although we did not have the perfect weather for our week long stay, we were still able to enjoy the beach and pool area and the location was good for enjoying local restaurants.

Activities like parasailing, snorkeling and dolphin rides filled the days too! The resort was so well maintained and the staff were always friendly. It was great to know the facility was for guests only. Did I mention the on sight activities for the kids! All in all we look forward to returning to the sugar sand beaches of TopSail !

Pools could have been a little warmer and were not the cleanest. Location was good! Not many places to walk to but we loved to overlook the ocean:). Customer service was all really good through the Gibson rental, they got us and early rental and were really good about answering questions prior to our arrival.

Great for big families!

Love how this property was right on the beach, had two pools, multiple hose stations on the walk ramp to the pools to wash away the sand and bar/restaurant that we were able to order food when the kids got hungry. The connecting two bed/two batch with sofa beds in each unit accommodated our big family. Having two kitchens and refrigerators help us stock up plenty of food for all the hungry kiddos. We had a great stay. When we arrived, we couldn't find the chairs and umbrella. They promptly brought us two new sets.

Beware of restricted beach access

Condo, great! But beware unless you are willing to spend $50/day to rent a spot on the beach you are forced to move down the beach to a very small space that fills up quickly. We were threatened with a $500 fine the first day for setting up with a tent in the wrong spot, then consistently being told to move to another spot since the only empty spaces we could find were on private property. You are pretty much forced to rent a spot from them to be able to sit on the beach.

You don’t even have to ask, they just text you when the unit is ready! Tides is right on the beach and close to everything that we like to eat!

July 2022 Stay

Our family met here for a beach vacation and these condos were perfect for us. Our location on the second floor provided a beautiful view, easy beach access by using the stairs instead of the elevator. The whole resort was very clean and the live music in the evening in the pool area was the perfect way to end the day. Last night, Friday night, we enjoyed the fireworks show on the beach. A pleasant surprise for our family. The beach access and pools allow for the kids to go between the two easily. The bar staff, Laura, Joe and Abigail, took excellent care of all of us. They kept us hydrated. It was great that we could send the kids over with tip money to refill their drinks. We’ve done a lot of traveling and this place was truly one of the best places we’ve stayed. The restaurant at the bar is delicious. We enjoyed a couple meals there during our stay. I highly recommend the Dominoes pizza at Miramar too!

Read the Fine Print!

The condition of the condos and their amenities is as described online. We arrived to discover some minor inconveniences and a couple more significant. Gibson Beach Rentals was very quick to replace some missing washcloths and TV remotes, and they were forthcoming about some scheduled maintenance (pest control) that happened during our stay. The garbage disposal was a bigger deal. We spent our first 2 days with a horrible smell near the sink and trash area only to discover that the disposal was inoperative and leaking water under the sink area. The situation was obviously not new, as there was a bucket filled with horrible smelling dirty water under the sink, and the cabinet floor underneath was warped and water damaged. Fortunately, the property manager replaced the disposal on Day 3 and the problem abated. Next issue: unbeknownst to me, not all units at the Tops’l Beach and Racquet Club qualify guests to USE the Racquet Club and Fitness Center. Having stayed in other units here using Vacasa rentals, I was dumbfounded upon arrival to discover that due to HOA restrictions in the Tides building, or the membership fees our unit owner chooses to pay, or whatever, I couldn’t use the Tennis Center or Gym on property! Completely unacceptable for me, as our selection of that resort is a compromise based on various family member preferences. So BE CAREFUL if you’re booking this location to include tennis and workouts on your vacation; you won’t get that experience with these units!!

Reviewer Comments: We’ve stayed here several times before & always enjoyed the condo & facilities. This time, the bathrooms were not clean...hair in tubs & showers...sand grit on all floors....kitchen not ‘pristine’ as in past years...sliding doors filthy. VERY disappointed 2 towels for 11 guests is ridiculous.. Pool gates were not working ALL week...larger pool not refreshing...just nasty & hot! SO disappointed! After 4 years, we will NOT return. So sad...

We were told that the complex was going to be doing construction 3 days of our stay, but it was actually 5 days of loud construction noises. Pool bar and grill was great considering there really isn’t any where else to eat along the beach.

They did put us right above construction so for a day and a half you could not have a conversation without pausing for the hammer drilling and chiseling breaking up floor tiles. I do not know why they would put us above that. Some mold in shower and not dusted in the bedrooms. Then they charge you for cleanup and ask you to strip beds and start dishwasher. I did comply but isn’t that what you pay cleanup fees for??We did like the room and view. The beaches were nice and what owners that were there didn’t understand ans were apologetic for our situation. I think Gibson owes me some form of comping for their failure. I had rented 2 rooms that joined. One had a bad dryer and the other a noisy washer.

Condo is Nice- Worst vacation EVER

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were trapped in the condo for four straight days. With a three-year-old and a one-year-old. And less toys that we have at home. The condo is smaller than our house and this created some challenges as we cannot go to the beach except for one day. To top it all off everybody got super sick on there. We all got Covid. It was terrible this is definitely not the way I expect to spend my vacation especially after working so hard for year and a half to take a vacation.
