Great spot for a family vacation. Unit was comfortable, clean, and well-stocked. The hosts were great. They discovered a problem with the dryer after the last guests left. The hosts let us know about the problem before we arrived and had ordered a new dryer by the time we got there. It was delivered and installed by a friendly and professional team in less than two days. Great experience, and we look forward to coming back.

Beach Vacation

Maintenance response was excellent. Second bathroom shower needs attention. Biggest complaint isn’t Ami’s fault: the beach chair/umbrella rental costs are ridiculous. Crazy. Especially when some people use them without paying.

Fantastic week!

We LOVE Sandestin, and being able to walk right out the patio door to be at the beach was AMAZING. The pool was also close and wonderful. Overall a wonderful week with the family, getting to unwind and enjoy the sun and waves and sand and pool. We made several trips to Baytowne and had dinner at some great restaurants. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Wonderful stay!

This place was amazing! It checked all the boxes that we were looking for..very short walk to the beach & pool. Loved the walk out not having to utilize any stairs & elevator all week with our kids. The hosts were very responsive and available if we had any needs. We will definitely be back!!

2nd time staying here

This was our 2nd year staying at Swept Away in May. Last year the pool was really cold, but it was heated this year and so much more enjoyable! We had 4 adults and 4 kids, ages 2 thru 5 yrs. The condo is perfect for us, all the kids have a bed, the couch is large, the kitchen fits us all, etc. We love the outside too, sitting out there while the kids nap. It's convenient to go back and forth from the beach and pool and back to the condo if you forget something. We like the Wharf too, taking the shuttle/trolley is fun. The location can't be beat, the beach is a lot less crowded than if you stayed at Beachside 2.

Awesome week as a family

My family just had a wonderful stay at the Beachside 1 condo. With 3 young kids this was the perfect rental with super convenient access to the awesome pool and the beach. My older kids loved the room with the bunk beds and the younger one slept comfortably in the pack and play provided. Ami was super friendly and helpful with the check in process and tops since it was our first time in the area. The unit sits inside of a complex which we liked. Parking was super convenient and we really liked that we were in a gated community where we felt safe. We had everything we needed and I would recommend this place for anyone looking for convenience and a place to stay with little ones.

Incredible stay

SweptAway stands true to its name. We had a beautiful week (weather helped). Sandestin is a phenomenal property for families. We enjoyed the versitality of golf, swimming, beach, bike riding, walks, running, convenience to Baytown Warf, food, and not to mention an amazing condo to stay in! We will definitely be returning! Thank you Ami for sharing your home away from home. It is a true gem!

YOOPER Spring Breakers

My husband & I. along with one of our sons live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Our other son & his family live in Jacksonville, Fl. This time every year we try to get some time with them. We have been coming to Sandestin for 5 years now but this was the first time we did a condo. It was fabulous! With the not so warm weather and several days of rain it would have been very difficult to hangout as a family if we had gone the traditional separate hotel room route. Ami’s condo, with ground floor easy access to yard, pool & beach was perfect. Ami was prompt to respond and rectify any questions or problems. We would definitely stay here again.

Family/business trip

We combined a family vacation with a business trip. The property was perfect for our family with young children. The unit is well designed with good use of the space which allows privacy for everyone. The kids loved the bunk beds. The newly renovated pool area is amazing and the beach is amazing too!

WONDERFUL!

We just had a WONDERFUL Family Vacation at SweptAway!! Ami, the owner, was great to work with...before, during, and after the trip! She was attentive to every detail! The condo is beautiful, clean, and right on the beach! Our grandkids had a great time at the pool...and made several sand castles on the beach...it was magical! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute!! THE BEST!

The listing for this property may be better than what you view online!! The condo is furnished beautifully and extremely comfortable. The location to the pool and beach are steps away via your back door! The cookware is top of the line, and everything you need is available. Our 2 year old granddaughter had the time of her life and getting everywhere was soooo easy!! If I win the lottery I will offer Ami and price she can not refuse!!! Lol. Extremely attentive host as well!!! We will rent again!!!

Great Place to Stay!

This is a great condo for vacation. This is the first time that we stayed on the 1st floor and loved it. The patio was very clean and great access to pool and beach. This was a family vacation and we had our adult children and 4 grandchildren between the ages of 1 and 5. There was a high chair at the condo which was very convenient. It was very easy to get to the pool and the beach and only a short walk. The pool was great for the kids and there are several locked gates which we loved for the security. The beach was beautiful. The condo was very clean and had everything that we needed. Loved the furnishings and it was a great place for our vacation and very convenient to shopping and restaurants. Ami was great and checked on us to see if we needed anything. We will be back.

A great communicator, but bad results!

In photos it is the perfect place, but regrettably this unit is in serious neglect. absolutely filthy even after two attempts of cleaning service visits. Furniture including rugs are stained and sticky with grime. Floors have not been mopped properly in ages, counter tops with dried up food. Cookware with old food residue inside and out, roach inside bowl, etc. Great beach, nice pool, older building with some issues but fine overall.

Family yard by the Gulf

It’s not easy satisfying four adults from age 73 to 40. Nor is it easy to satisfy children from age 9 to 3. But our property location with a large yard and a bench for drinking coffee on every morning was just what the doctor order! Our family has stayed in the adjacent Hilton properties, since our children were in kindergarten. We love coming to this part of the beach. The beach was almost private compared to the adjacent properties. Unbelievable, clean and updated property.
