Major Construction Problems

We have stayed at this property before and it is wonderful, great location and steps down to the beach. Beautiful view and very clean. The problem we had during this stay was that the resort was undergoing exterior as well as some interior renovation to some units. One of the units that was under major renovation happened to be the unit right above ours and the exterior patio area of our unit was also affected. We checked in on a Saturday and everything was fine but then on Monday around 8 AM, they began with a jackhammer in the flooring above, and a table saw going all day that day. In addition, our view was blocked the entire time by equipment on the patio and by a blue plastic covering on the outside of the master bedroom picture window so you could not see out. The sound was unbearable. At the end of the day, the crew that was running the lift on the outside of the building actually unloaded all of their equipment on our patio and told us to go inside. By the end of the day, we were desperate to leave and just go home or move units. NONE of this was disclosed at check in nor prior to our visit. This should have been disclosed. Luckily, we were able to work with the resort management company to move units and we moved out that night. We were not given a discount and we had to pay for the golf cart that was supposed to come with the unit even though we were not able to use it. All of this made us question whether to ever book via VRBO or this report property again.

Condo was excellent! however?We were told on check in that we would not have access to our balcony for our entire trip because of construction. Very inconvenient and frustrating. Sandestin resort has agreed to a 20% refund but said I need to contact you to complete this transaction. Please notify me that you received this and how my refund will be received.

Sandestin Resort Tower II Condo

Nice condo conveniently located on second floor making parking and beach access easy. Great view of gulf from balcony. Interior build-out and furnishings are up-to-date. Overall, would recommend.

We loved our stay. Location was perfect, condo was immaculate with fantastic views from living room and master bedroom. There are gates with codes everywhere so we also felt safe and secure.

Beautiful condo, views and easy access to beach

Location was perfect affording amazing views and quick access to the beach. Unit had nice new furniture and the kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare any meal. We had an issue with the toaster, but they quickly replaced it. Only other complaint relates to noise directly over head from construction. I believe they were renovating the unit above and did start kinda early a couple of mornings. Despite the noise we still had a great time. Would definitely stay in this one again.

It was nice

The location of the property was ok but the trash & construction outside our balcony was an eyesore. The unit was fairly clean but could of been better, the shower needs a good scrubbing. We never went to the beach but 1 time because there was nowhere to walk or sit for all the Hotel rental umbrellas & chairs. From the edge of water back 3/4 of the way was packed full. We understand the reason, money but I certainly didn’t want to look at the back of people & not be able to see my kids in the water. They should leave half the beach open for those that do not want to be crowded in by chairs & come further back from waters edge. The food next door was great & the pool area was clean & that’s where we spent our days. Monday night fireworks were AWESOME & all the staff were friendly. Overall the condo itself was very nice & highly recommended but the beach was undesirable with public access right beside building & all the umbrellas & chairs.

Great Condo on the beach with perfect location

Perfect condo for family of 4 with plenty of space. Love the open kitchen/dining/living area with a great balcony and view of the ocean!! Bedrooms were spacious. Condo was clean and felt like home. Be sure to pick up extra kitchen needs like dishwasher soap, trash bags etc. The location was perfect with just a few steps to the beach without ever having to use the elevator! We loved it! It would have been nice if the door had a key code lock vs. room keys for convenience. There was a closet full of beach chairs and boogie boards which came in handy everyday as renting beach chairs is expensive. Beach / water was great to hangout in the mornings and evenings. However the beach was over crowded during the day. We would stay here again!

The condo was perfectly located! We loved eating breakfast every morning on the porch overlooking the beautiful ocean! The beds slept so well! Very quiet considering it’s a condominium! Enjoyed our stay!

We had an excellent stay in this awesome unit at the Sandestin Resort! It was beautiful, clean, well-equipped for guests and had a gorgeous view. I would definitely recommend this unit!
