Honestly, the stay did not live up to my expectations. The view was stunning. You cannot listen to music at the pool, which I really did not like nor can you take food into the pool area. The grills are pretty far from the rooms. I just expected more I guess you’d say.

Overall Great Stay

Lots of positives about this rental. The location is fantastic. Super easy walk to the beach. Restaurants are in walking distance. View is amazing. Overall, the property was clean and quiet. The elevators were in working order our entire stay. Loved that the rental provided two beach chairs and an umbrella so that we didn’t have to pay for beach service. Kitchen was well stocked. Parking was easy and no hassle. Pool and gym are really nice. We did have a couple of issues during our stay. The sliding glass door is very heavy and seems likes it’s off track. On the second day, the handle broke off (I assume from many renters having to yank REALLY HARD to open.) Unfortunately, there were cockroaches/palmetto bugs in the unit. We killed several each day we were there. I get that it’s damp next to the beach, but we’ve never had this problem at a rental in Destin before. Lastly, the tubs are stained and look dirty. We even tried scrubbing them ourselves. They should probably be replaced soon. We discussed all of these issues with property management and they were extremely responsive and apologetic. Someone came to fix the sliding door immediately and they assured us they would have someone come in regarding the roaches.

Sliding door very hard to open

810A room. I called and talked with two different people about how hard the sliding door was to open. Also talked with a young lady in perspn in the office. All said a work order was issued. No one ever came to fix it. My wife and sons girlfriend could not open it up at all.

Lovely

Majestic Sun is our family's favorite place to stay, and this condo has been one of our favorites. It was perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids under 8. We can't wait to stay here again.

Review of Majestic Sun

Experience was good as we stayed in Majestic Sun last year, only things I would look at was the washer very loud even doing a little load of laundry. The drains in bathroom sinks were also very slow to drain. Balcony door also very hrs to open.

Summer Getaway

The property was just as listed: however, the air conditioner did not work properly. It said to keep the thermostat at 72 degrees, which we did, but it got very hot. We called maintenance and they came and looked at it promptly, but it only lasted a few hours then it got hot again. When we called again, they said the unit needed replaced and they would be replacing it on Thursday which was the day we checked out. They did bring us a couple fans to use. Not having air was uncomfortable, but we still enjoyed our trip. I asked for a discount because of the problem but the owners have not replied as of yet. We checked out May 20th. today is June 8.

Great location

Great beach across the street and grocery stores, restaurants and shopping within minutes of driving. The view was amazing! Condo was great- nice and quiet. Just needs an ice cream scooper and a pizza cutter.

Fall break fun

I wanted on the beach views of the Gulf and this property had it. I was a little nervous about having to cross the road to get to the beach, but we had no problems! It was easy and a short distance from the property-shorter than other properties that I’ve stayed at overlooking the beach! I booked this property in between storms and was kept up to date on weather information via emails and the “hospitality” app.

Worst stay, air conditioner didn’t work

The air conditioner didn’t work for the entire trip. They replaced with 2 AC units loud and uncomfortable in 2 bed rooms and left the other parts of the house so hot. Glass door to the ocean view got its handle broken by the AC guy and noone cared to fix it. Never stay again at Majestic Sun room A810.

Family Beach Vacation

We had an absolute blast during this stay! The ocean was clear and beautiful and the property is well-kept. The added bonus of having beach chairs and an umbrella that came with our rental was wonderful!
