Wonderful property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!I chose 5 stars for almost everything listed above.The reason why I selected 4 stars for the above categories was because:I didn’t have the gate code or building code and had to ask other guests for help. Luckily, they shared their code with me which allowed me into the property parking and again inside of the building. Once I was in the building, requesting the code for the door the condo was an easy process.Only other thing, there was nasty rotten bacon hanging on racks inside of the oven.Outside of that,we had a wonderful stay!

This place was adorable! We really enjoyed it! Perfect size for a few days & the view of the beach is gorgeous! Very clean, decorated nicely, & beds are very comfortable! Overall a great place to stay!

Property Review

The property was in a great location. The condo had an incredible beachfront view and access to an opened pool. The communication with the property owner and vacation stay representative was remarkable. They responded to any questions and concerns immediately. For example, we noticed that the beach chair that was provided was broken and the owner brought brand new chairs the following morning! The only concern that we experience was the access to the gate/building codes, and the delay in the elevators. Overall, I would definitely stay at this property again!

Condo/resort were awesone

The property is beautiful. The condo was also beautifully decorated, clean, and in a great location. Once we were in the condo, everything was terrific. We had a wonderful view of the beach, and beach was a few feet away. We want to thank our hosts for sharing their vacation home with us. We loved the condo and location. Sandestin is an awesome resort, and we would definitely visit again. The only con is that we were told we would receive the check-in information 48 hours in advance. We had to call to get the instructions the day before when we were in route which was a little uncomfortable. Also, the check-in instructions needed to be clearer. The condo access code needs to be stated as condo door code instead of access code. The property had a gate code, condo entrance code, and access code. When we arrived at the condo, we noticed that there were other families who were confused about the codes as well. We would suggest that there should be clearer instructions for travelers who haven’t previously booked through a booking service.

Loved the views but…

We had a neighbor directly next door who loved smoking cigars out on his patio and the smoke would blow directly onto our patio. Reached out to booking agency and they gave me a local phone number to call but it was always busy. I was told the building is a non smoking building but this is not the first time this has occurred when we have stayed in this building. I finally spoke to the gentleman and the smoking stopped but I felt for the cost that it should not have been my responsibility to confront the man.

The studio was perfect! We loved the extra bedroom. Instructions for the unit were clear. The app made it easy to understand everything. We loved having the pool right off the beach.

Over rated

Unit was hard find. Elevators broken down daily. Pool was closed several days in a row. Hate code keypads broken daily. There is NO ONE you can contact that will actually be able to help you. It was the worst stay we have ever encountered with a property. Way over priced.

Refrigerator Issues...Circuit Breaker Wiring Problems...Late Service Tech Arrivals

When we arrived on Sat and turned on the Refrigerator, there was a loud humming noise coming from the Ice Machine in the freezer. By evening as noise continued and our food/beverages were just not getting cold. We hoped things would improve in the morning. They did not, as the humming got louder during the nite. I received a text from My Vacation Haven @ 10am on Sun, welcoming us and stating to "Please let us know if you need anything". I texted back that we were experiencing issues with the freezer making a loud humming noise and need a Service Tech. We received a reply back that they were going to send someone out to look at it, if we liked. I asked if we needed to be at the property...as we were headed out to lunch. I was told that we do not have to be there as the Tech will knock first and if no one answers then they will walk in and announce themselves. I said...Okay. We returned to the condo @ 5:45pm and the refrigerator was still humming loudly and it was apparent that no Service Tech had arrived or even left a note that they had been there. I texted My Vacation Haven...and they said "the Service Guy for the frig contacted us ad let us know that he will be out at 8am tomorrow morning". Swell. Keep in mind...we are on vacation celebrating our Anniversary and my Husband's Birthday & have to deal with this refrigerator Issue...& now our food/drinks are now luke warm & the freezer is still humming loudly. On Mon, we SET OUR ALARM to get up early before the Service Tech's 8am arrival & he didn't show up until 10:15am. As he took apart the frig, he found an ice build-up on the back wall of the freezer. He even called for another guy to come up look at it & then they discovered that there was also a Circuit Breaker Wiring Issue, where the frig was wired into a light switch panel. Both Techs said they never saw anything like it & requested that an Electrical Tech also be sent up to review the wiring & panels. He dismantled the Frig & brought up a small portable refrigerator, but, it did not have the capability to hold all of our food/beverages that we had brought for our 4 nite stay. The 2 Electrical Techs later arrived...they were also bewiltered about the wiring of the Kitchen/Frig, as well. We told them we had also experienced the circuit breaker tripping the the light switches in the L/R and shutting everything off, when my hubby plugged in his Sleep Apnea Machine by the bed, as well. We are requesting some reimbursement.

A nice place to relax and watch the waves roll in.

Really enjoyed staying here. We booked this room in 2021 and were unable to make it due to COVID. The owner treated us well and we booked agin for 2022. Such a great time, we will stay here again! The Little’s.

My only complaint is with the resort. The resort covered most of the beach area with rental chairs and umbrellas and they were extremely under utilized. Most of us beach goers had their own chairs with approximately 6' of space between the beach and the ocean in which to use. This made the beach very crowded.

One major complaint- could not sit out on balcony as someone smoked incessantly in the complex

It was enjoyable except for the person/s smoking in the complex rendering the balcony unusable. When we booked the vacation it said it was a non smoking destination. Management needs to enforce the non smoking policy

Great famiy get away!

The family and I had a great time while staying at Beachside II. There were 3 business conferences going on while we were here but we still had a wonderful time. Easy access to the pool and the beach. Thanks for an awesome stay!

we booked this VBRO for a couples getaway. The room was very clean well appointed. The view was just as described. Beautiful view of the gulf and the pool!! 4th floor. great location. Would recommend and will he back!!

I would stay there again but for the 1st time of getting there it was a little confusing.

Enjoyed staying there , a bit crowded on the beach. Lots of codes had to be used.We will definitely try to pick a different week next time when kids are not on fall break .

Ok, but wouldn’t stay at this property again

Our experience was ok. The beach in this area is way overcrowded, plus the beach service takes up like 90% of the beach area making it more crowded. The entire building lost electricity at 9pm one night and it didn’t come back in until 2pm the next day. Idk if this is common or an anomaly, but it wasn’t enjoyable. The condo was hot when the electricity came on and the thermostat will not go below 70, but family staying in other condos thermostat was able to go to mid 60’s. Condo also was not stocked as well as others I’ve stayed in. The condo was clean for the most part, except for the glass on the balcony and also the second day I swept up sand and got several wads of black hair… none of us have black hair.
