We had a great time. Time at the beach is always good. The unit needs some TLS. The trash bin was next to us . The hallway smelled really bad. Needs to be cleaned.

Great Location

This is an awesome 1 bedroom condo. It’s a corner unit with its own private hallway and no one above or next to you. The owners have done a nice job updating things like the bathroom, kitchen counters and appliances. It was missing some basic staples like pen/paper, Coffee filters and salt/pepper. We would definitely stay here again.

Our new favorite place to stay

This property is very nice. Everything you need is located at this resort. My wife and I enjoyed every moment. The property is very clean, staff was friendly, and room was superb. View of the ocean was amazing.

Awake to Amazing View

Large door with screen / balcony next to bed was a huge plus to awaken with a truly amazing view from the 14th floor. Easy access to beach, adequate supplies, clean, etc. Sunset balcony (separate) great view and totally private. Unit is on the side of the building so sun doesn't hit main balcony until late afternoon. Right off the elevator (no sounds) so no long trek down a hallway! Near trash chute (oddly quiet too) and very convenient. As a first time VRBO renter it seemed odd that info on condo doesn't come until 48 hours before arrival - a note a few days / week ahead with the process would have been great. Also, an unexpected text had final details regarding access codes.

Things to know in advance

The property was great! Good view with exception of being unable to see sunrise and beach access was blocked until 7am. GPS (AppleMaps) took us to southwinds - go one more building to Westwinds! MAJOR ISSUE depending on your perspective: people with their own chairs and setups could congregate in front of paid for chair/umbrella setups- even between the rows right in front of paid for setups.

Property is awesome. Unit needs a couple of updates.

The location cannot be beat. The property itself is stunning and full of amenities. The bed in this particular unit is very uncomfortable. You can tell if sinks in on both sides just looking at it, and offers zero support. Owner should invest in a quality mattress for guests. Also, we both felt the unit smells faintly like stale cigarette smoke each time you first walk in the door. It fades, but it’s there. We also had beach chairs, but no umbrella (as advertised in the check in info). I emailed Home Away when we arrived, but no response. Otherwise, it was clean and adequate for our stay.

We enjoyed the property for our 4 night babymoon! There were some light bulbs needing replacing and faucet needs replaced in kitchen. Beach chairs in room were very nice and seemed new.

Sunsets and great location

Chose this property because of view and location. 2 balconies overlooking the ocean and perfect sunsets. Great overall location for food and shopping and golf. A couple of hiccups like the bedroom is really dark and missing a few kitchen necessities but would choose this location every time I decide to visit

5 th stay at property

Have always enjoyed this condo stay. This time we had a few issues. Ice maker on refrigerator never worked, outdoor grills were not working, both remote controls for Tv were not working. Volume control was not functional on both. Unit is in need of updating. Suggestion… bedroom carpet needs replacement/restretching, sofa is in need of replacement. Besides these suggestions, we love this unit and would love to continue staying here.

Needs new furniture

Location was great- views and quietness of the condo itself was great. Layout of the condo was also great. That said, the mattress needs replacing and soon. The couch also needs replacing- one can barely sit on it without feeling like they’re sinking to the floor. Also the side chair in living area is the same, so nothing comfortable to sit on in the living area. Although the balconies (2!) offer great views, there are only 2 chairs. One balcony had nothing to sit on. There is no chaise lounge as shown in the pictures online. Also a broken chair is still sitting in the corner of the balcony- needs to be thrown away. Worst part was the building management was totally incompetent when the elevators (all 4 of them) weren’t working on the day we were leaving. I had to walk down 15 flights of stairs to inform them of the problem (at 7am they should have already been notified) no one bothered to help us with our luggage down all those stairs. Won’t stay here again because of this for sure.

Sandestin is beautiful

The Sandestin area is beautiful and very secure. Westwinds is right on the beach and the views are spectacular. This particular unit was somewhat disappointing. Upon arrival, there was leftover food in the bathroom and water standing in the kitchen sink. There was a chair on the front balcony that was completely torn and unusable. There was a table on the west balcony, but no chairs. The two TV's are very small. The bed was comfortable. The bedding was Walmart brand. There were only two hand towels and one kitchen towel. No Kleenex. The sofa and chair in the living room were very uncomfortable. Overall, the place is outdated and needs to be refurbished. For the per night charge, we expected more. We will not book through My Vacation Haven again.

Private corner condo huge perk!

Beautiful views and loved how this property is in its own hall! Minimal hallway noise if any at all. The views were great- two balconies. The layout worked well for our family of 3. We just wish the toaster wasn’t broken and to have a few conveniences- like coffee filters- which we left for the next guest! ;-)
