Great location and family oriented environment

The condo is very well kept with plenty of entertainment inside and outside. This location is family oriented environment. People are friendly. If you are a family looking to have a good time with your kids, then you found a great place for you.

Great stay

Bunk bed with trundle was excellent. Could not find code to get into parking garage or lobby. I had to call and get. Only code provided in email or on app was code to access actual condo. Only other complaint was internet speed. Was very slow and sometimes couldn’t use. Other than that, great stay.

Great Vacation Rental

This was our first time visiting Destin. Overall we were very pleased with the property. The condo was very accommodating to our family of 4. The girls loved the bunkbeds! The kitchen was well equipped and the view was spectacular. Thank you for having us, we look forward to our next vacation!

Great Stay at the Westwinds at Sandestin

We had a great stay at the Westwinds at sandestin! All beds were great even the pull out bed. You never know how comfortable a pullout will be so this was great an comfortable. Condo was nice and clean and balcony had great sunset beach view! Will stay there again in the future.

Wonderful vacation!

We came down for the week of July 4th and it was such a fantastic week! The property is in a beautiful gated community and we thoroughly enjoyed the view from our room on the 6th floor. The condo has everything and more that you could think of...board games, pool floats, beach toys, and plenty of dushes to cook with that you may not find other places (which has been thr case with us in past stays elsewhere). The only downfall we noticed was the cleanliness of the condo. As soon as we walked in, we could tell there was sand on the floor, there was candy trash in the 2nd bedroom closet, and the water system kept shutting off saying there was a leak in the guest bath. I had to call 3 times to get the water cut back on. But, other than that, we would definitely stay again. There was ample room for all of us and we had such a great time relaxing and spending quality family time there!

Great updated condo with a beautiful view

Our rental experience with Dan and Stephanie was seamless! Communication was clear and done mainly by an automated text system. Amenities were exactly as we expected. The property was clean and they even provided a starter kit it each of the bathrooms and the kitchen which was a nice surprise! The property itself is gorgeous. Great access to the beach, easy access to all the amenities of Sandestin. Highly recommend!

Birthday stay - perfect

This was one of those instances where the impressive photos actually match the experience; in fact, the view from the porch is actually even better than you see in pictures. We spent a great deal of time there, enjoying sunrises, sunsets, dinner, coffee, breezes ... you will too! The unit itself is immaculate and the decor is wonderful. Four elevators, fast and timely, with plenty of covered parking and luggage carts at all times. Great communication with texts, iPhone app, and email all working seamlessly for a quick checkin/checkout process. We will be back!

I read other reviews prior to our visit about the dirty floors and assumed it was just a sand issue....which I expect at a beach, but the floors are disgusting. It's more than just sand. Our feet were black after being there for just a couple hours. And it was frustrating to keep washing our feet as I was afraid for the kids to sit on the furniture or lay on the beds with all the white linens. I was also disappointed and disgusted to find a huge collection of someone else's hair smeared on the inside of the shower curtain in the master shower. Otherwise, we loved it! The Westwinds property was perfect for our needs. The pool was great, the walk to the beach is short. The frozen drinks at the bar were so good!! We used the tram to go to Baytowne warf. We loved not having to drive our own car and worry about parking. The unit had several beach chairs and an umbrella that we were so thankful for. We would definitely stay here again, but not at this unit if they don't improve their cleaning service.

Perfect!!

My husband and I and our three teenage boys loved this vacation. The condo was clean and a great size. It had everything we needed. The pool was perfect and the beach was awesome. The location of this condo is excellent. The view from the condo is beautiful. We will definitely stay here again. If you’re thinking about a trip here, do it!

Inaccurate listing, poor communication, and disgusting floors

We booked a week here months in advance for a family vacation with little kids. We drove 1000 miles to find out all the pools located at the condo were closed for the week and anytime we were on the balcony, all you could hear was construction. Neither the owners nor property management company had communicated this situation to us. The owners never even replied to us when we sent a message on arrival. After two nights we finally got the management company to agree to refund the remaining nights and we booked the remaining nights elsewhere. They offered us a pitiful $50 per night discount on the two nights. Do NOT book a My Vacation Haven managed property. If they had just communicated all this to us prior to our arrival it would have been different. They were overall just shady refunding us. They wouldn’t even tell us the amount to be refunded and kept promising a discount. They are awful. The condo itself is nice, to be fair, but the floors were positively disgusting. Sand and dirt everywhere. You cannot walk barefoot in the unit. Look elsewhere. There are other great properties in the area and My Vacation Haven isn’t worth the risk.

Great location and view.

Great location with beautiful views of the ocean. Our unit was clean with the exception of the floors. Our socks and feet got black from the dirt on the floor. We had to put sheets over the couches because they were dirty and stained. That was very disappointing. Beds were comfortable and had clean sheets. Bathrooms and kitchen counters were clean.

This was a beautiful decorated condo in beach decor. It was extremely clean and organized. The floor plan was great, large, and open. Beds were all so very comfortable. Just perfect. We will definitely be using this condo again!

Somewhat Accessible

This unit is well appointed and somewhat accessible but it is not fully accessible. It does not have a roll in shower for a wheelchair user, it is a step in shower and requires a shower bench for transfers. The management group was able to locate one at the facility, luckily, as they are almost impossible to find in Destin. The grab bars by the toilet are excellent and compliant. The porch has a step down to it---about 6 inches. The best part is the well equipped kitchen......it has all appliances, needed utensils, and a great assortment of spatulas etc. The space allows free and easy movement throughout. The view is gorgeous and the two bedrooms are roomy and comfortable. The laundry room is wonderful as well. The screens to the porch are awful and need to be replaced as they constantly come off the track. Great facility with pool, workout room, and easy access to the beach including a long ramp allowing access for wheelchair users to the midpoint of the sand. A beach wheelchair is available from management. It was very clean and parking was abundant. Close to many great places allowing one to head west to Destin and shopping or east to browse the enclaves of Watercolor and other such communities.
