Nice unit in a great location. The golf cart was great! Kitchen lacked some things we expected like oven hot pads, only 2 hand towels, no sealable containers to save food, no pitcher. Pool towels and Kleenex would be nice additions. We enjoyed our San Destin stay very much.

A week within a sophisticated culture has become out April slice of heaven. Short drive from VPS with plenty of places to grab last minute items you didn’t want to fly with and groceries. Once through the gates to the resort you feel safe and ready to enjoy all Sandestin has to offer. We will return year after year!

Perfect Location

Pros: Perfect location. Walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, and activities inside the Baytowne Wharf area. Love that it came with golf cart, which is nice for getting to the beach and to the Grand Blvd plaza. Building is connected to the parking garage, which was convenient for loading/ unloading the car, and nice for staying dry since it rained most of the trip. Kitchen was well stocked with whatever you could need. Ice maker was full of ice, I never had to buy any. There’s boxes of shampoo, conditioner, soap, even linen spray, and aloe gel. Cons: The unit itself is poorly maintained. Loose tiles in the master bathroom that moved/ made noise every time I step on them. Bathtub was slow-draining, so my feet were under water while showering. One of the sinks also slow-draining. Mold starting to grow around the ac vent and ceiling in master bath. The whole floor was in need of a SERIOUS SCRUB, black grime in all the grout and ridges of the tiles. I wore socks or sandals the whole time. I couldn’t let my baby crawl on the floor. Balcony was unusable because it was so dirty and dusty. Overall, I would not stay in this unit again. I didn’t complain because the things needed for this unit to be acceptable wasn’t something that a quick clean could fix, (other than the balcony maybe). Plus, if it didn’t rain all week, we probably wouldn’t have been in the unit enough to care. It doesn’t seem like someone is regularly checking things.

A Little Getaway

The overall stay was amazing! The location was great. We loved that the village was just a few steps away. We thoroughly enjoyed having the access to the golf cart-it made things so much easier! The one thing I was looking forward to doing but wasn’t able to, was to sit on the balcony; they were doing construction. We weren’t ever there during the times they were doing construction though so the noise didn’t bother us.

Nice to wake up to the contractor in the living room.

First and foremost its a great location with private parking and loved the Golf cart. Now to why such a low rating. There is a air tag on the golf cart so they can track you. I get that it is expensive it would have been nice to know is all. The deck was mess and couldn't use it. They were painting that week. Would have been nice to know. Now what really set us off was we were napping at 5pm before dinner and I wake up to find a contractor in the living room saying we needed to move all the furniture off the deck to the inside of a small condo. I informed them that we would be out in two days at 10am. They still wanted to move it. I offered to throw the stuff off the deck but they would not be putting it inside. I immediately contacted the local rental agency and informed them of our displeasure. (Vacation Haven). They called back and left a message saying they looked at the CAM and noticed the furniture wasn't moved. I called back and said it wasn't going to be moved and they could wait for us to leave in less than 24 hour. The most disturbing thing is (other than waking up to a stranger in the room). I looked for a CAM but didn't see one........Do they have one? We will never know because we would never rent from Vacation Haven again.

Great Condo…… Soooooo quiet!!!!

From the moment we walked in u could tell the condo was clean and so nicely decorated!!! The king bed was very comfy and loved having 2 bathrooms and one with a nice soaker tub!!! The area around us was so nice and quiet!!! The golf cart was a nice feature but my only drawback was 1. How hard it was to find the golf cart access road to cross under the highway and 2. How bad the access to the beach is, it’s a good hike to get to the beach from where u park the golf cart!! So ended up just driving to different state parks and using the beach there bc atleast there u had easy access to the beach and bathrooms!!! But overall AMAZING TIME in a beautiful condo that was very centrally located to all the things and places!!!

Beautiful property grounds and area close to all you need!

As with ANY place one rents that not home, there can be some things that feel a little out of place (pros/cons). This unit was well equipped, in a fantastic location, with the golf cart being the icing on the cake. Just a few things could be a bit better. The doors to the balcony are in need of repair so hard to open/close/lock. The outdoor furniture is also close to end of life. Please also know there is NO view out the balcony. Just trees. However, these minor things do not hinder ones ability to enjoy the area, restaurants, pools..etc. The communication via text msg was prompt. That is a plus! We will be back! Thank you!

Great stay!

Very convenient location being in Baytown Wharf. The golf cart makes it so easy to get to and from the beach (3-4 min golf cart ride from condo), Publix, and Sandestin restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Review of pilot #413

The condo is beautiful and we loved staying there. The golf cart was awesome and so convenient to go to the beach and the pool. The only issue we had with the condo was that there were only three coffee mugs and even though i tried to use the dishwasher i had to keep washing out the mugs. A unit that size should come with AT LEAST 6 mugs.. I would definitely consider staying there again in the future. This is our second time in Destin and we love it. Lisa & Dan

4th of July stay

This was a great stay! We had everything we needed. Loved the very large balcony! The golf cart definitely was an added bonus. We didn’t crank our car once we arrived. We will definitely be back.

Our overall stay was great. The condo was very clean and nicely kept. The golf cart was great to enjoy the resort and necessary to help get around. The unit is a bit small if you have four people staying but overall was great.
