The unit was great! The property is beautiful! The only problem was the check in time and the person give us the wrong wrist bands. We did not get our room until after 6:00 pm.

Just Ok

I’m not one to leave a review or a bad one at that. Checked into condo. My 5yr old daughter went to the spare room. Slipped, fell, and hit her head because there was water all over the floor. Maintenance came and confirmed the water had been there for a while because it couldn’t have just happened. Staff didn’t really care too much about my daughter slipping and hitting her head. They were all concerned about not getting written up. They offered me a lousy one day reimbursement. Upper management was more helpful. VRBO was basically useless and if you are lucky you might get someone who speaks English. Vrbo never followed up or did anything. But they collect $500 in fees yet they did nothing to help me. Upper management at Sandestin was great. The resort is beautiful.

Lovely with some needed cleaning.

The condo had cute decor and a wonderful view. We saw dolphins from the balcony twice. All the kitchen supplies we needed were present. The beds were comfortable and the couch was firm, but comfortable. The fridge was cold. The walls, light switches and door handles need a good cleaning. The laundry area was filthy. There’s a 3D starfish picture in the smaller bathroom that was caked in dust and grime. My allergies bothered me while I was there which is rare for me. The noise from kids running on the walk way woke me up every morning. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again after a good cleaning, dusting and changing of the air filter.

Great location quick response by staff

This place was nice for a quiet vacation we had a couple of issues while here but all were handled promptly and to our satisfaction by both VRBO and Sandestin staff. Beach was beautiful and not crowded this time of year and they will have a newly rebuilt beach access at tower one for our future visit.

Beautiful

The place was very clean and well decorated. However, you're going to want to bring your own pillow, coffe filters, coffee and paper towels. There were no paper towels at all. They do provide 2 basic beach chairs, an umbrella and some beach toys. The master gets pretry warm and doesn't seem to cool off much, even at night. Thankfully, there is a box fan in the closet. The view and balcony is really nice and the walk to the beach is nothing. Overall, it's a really nice place and would definitely stay there again.

Gorgeous gulf view and very close beach access

Gorgeous condo and the views are unbelievable! Well stocked kitchen beautiful and useful decor and furniture. Pros: Beach area has plenty of space for everyone and they even have staff patrol it Comfy beds and plenty of pillows!! Air-conditioning worked very well Recommendations: Have a rug at the deck entrance to catch some of the extra sand Have blankets available for using in the living area It would be nice to have the basics provided for the entire stay like hand soap for the sinks, paper towels, and even cheap dishwasher soap. Parking was a daily problem in the evening with not enough spots requiring people to park on the grass or along the driveway in various spots. Moving the bike racks would free up a spot and keeping golf carts from parking in the regular parking lot would help, but wouldn't fix the problem all together. On a side note, 2 days before my reservation I received an email telling me my reservation was no longer able to be honored and it took several hours of various emails to figure it out which was VERY STRESSFUL! I would have appreciated a number to call to fix the problem right away instead of having to freak out waiting on emails to be answered to find out I really did still have my reservation. In the end I was told it was just a computer glitch, but no apology or better explanation was ever given.

Spring Break 2021

First off this is a good unit in a Great location. The unit met our needs and the kids enjoyed the balcony and view of the beach. The building overall is a bit dated. I’m sure the finished pool will be great. The unit did not have a keypad entry and required us to check in across the street. We needed a key card to enter our room like a hotel. This needs to be fixed as it is frustrating to have to carry around a key. The disposal is broken. That’s an easy fix. My daughter saw a mouse. We called the property manager and they contacted pest control who was willing to come and lay traps. It didn’t ruin our trip but was a bit alarming. All in all, we would stay at Sandestin again but not sure Beachside would be our preferred building.

20th Anniversary!! Great Views!!

Booked two days before our trip!! Quick response!! Condo very nice and clean!! Views from Master bedroom and Balcony were absolutely Wonderful!! Easy elevator ride down to pool and beach entry. Master bathroom was great!! Basic kitchen supplies and a not so great umbrella in the closet (the base was useful for our own umbrella we bought). The blender was useless wouldn't even crush ice!! The only other complaint is the site said private balcony from master but the sliding door will not open onto the balcony from the Master. Very disappointed because we wanted to sleep with it open to hear the ocean. However, I would seriously consider booking again!!
