Fall Break

We enjoyed our stay. I did misunderstand that it was a condo not a single unit. Very nice clean unit. Wonderful balcony view. Both TVs need updating/replacing. But not too much of a problem. Nice looks to be new golf cart.

Roaches

3 huge cockroaches all in a matter of minutes from each other. Neither sets of french doors to the balcony would lock. Toaster still has not been replaced as noted in previous reviews from others. I was asked if I would like someone to come in to work on doors and to spray for insects. We said yes but no one ever showed up. Nothing is user friendly. Golf cart was difficult to find as we were told it was inside of a fenced area in the middle of parking garage. It was not. It would be helpful if a welcome packet was left in the unit with a map.

Great Surprise

Was surprised how great of a stay it turned out to be. The golf cart was unbelievable. The room and location was perfect. Still given free beach access even though located on the lake side. Plan to do it again next year!

nice but....

Room was fine. The bathtub was way too high to step into. especially for older people. Not sure of the security. Anyone can come in through the garage, and walk right into the building. This gives anyone access, plus they would have access to the elevators and could go most anywhere. There should be a code for the elevator or some kind of code access.

Great Vacation ! Best Location!

My husband and I had a great stay at pilot house the first week in July. The unit was beautifully decorated ,comfortable, quite and in the perfect location . We hope to visit again this year for our anniversary in September. We would definitely recommend this place

Insurance for travel is a scam!!!!

We purchased the insurance for a vacation. My wife and I got extremely sick with the flu and submitted a request to the insurance company. We have been back-and-forth with them and because we did not attend a position and have all of these documents they want it they would not refund our money. Basically the insurance is a scam because they give you 100 reasons why they will not refund you and if you answer them they give you another reason or another document you need. Absolute scam virbo should be ashamed of their selves.

Overall our stay was great. Proximity to pool and entertainment facilities was perfect. Clean, safe and secure. Only downside was there really wasn't enough of the essential things, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap etc

Labor Day Weekend

Great property- I have stayed in The Grand, Bahia, and Elation previous to this stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the Pilot House. It seemed more secluded then the others. The balcony was nice and big. I will be staying in the Pilot House again.

I loved how safe the area was, the ability to walk downstairs for food and drinks, the balcony, the washer and dryer, everything was incredible. I didn't like how the big glass doors opened/closed. I wasn't sure if they were actually ever secured/locked before leaving. I was worried about getting charged.

Lots of issues! Poor communication.

The evening before we were scheduled to arrive, we were informed that the dryer and the microwave were not working. Upon arrival, we found that the patio doors would not properly lock, leaving the condo unsecured. They did send a maintenance person to come and repair that. There were also issues with cleanliness of the fridge, a plastic wrapper on the mattress that made it unusable the first night, until they came and installed a mattress protector and removed the wrapping, cleanliness of the fridge, and other things. For the price of renting this condo, it was not what we expected at all. It also could use an update in several areas. The most disappointing thing was the lack of communication. One of the representatives said they were going to see about getting us a little bit of money back due to not having the amenities listed, but we have received no further messages back.

We will be back!

My boyfriend and I came for a long Memorial weekend trip and for a friends wedding. The convenience of the Pilot House was central to everything we wanted to do, just steps from restaurants and nightlife and a tram away from the beach. The unit was spacious and clean and had everything we needed to have a wonderful time. The beach chairs were also so helpful!

Just What We Needed!

My husband, mother, and I really enjoyed staying at this property! It was clean, cozy, and exactly as advertised. The Villages at Baytowne Wharf, within the Sandestin Golf Resort, is close to EVERYTHING! There was no need to leave the resort unless you wanted to. Fine dining, upscale shopping, nightlife, all around good eats, affordable activities, dining, shopping, beach access, gold courses, etc. are within walking distance, golf cart rental, or even driving your vehicle if getting around is difficult for you. Parking is easy and available. The unit we stayed in is on the smaller side, however when we booked, just my husband and I were going. My mother joined us after booking. This property does sleep 4, however the pullout couch is better suited for young people. I'm 52, my husband is 59, and my mother is 72. The king bed is firm in the master bedroom. The deck is spacious and lovely. The pool has easy access, clean, beautiful. There was a mechanical issue with the pull-out couch and ceiling van, to which the property manager responded to immediately and left a note about what was fixed and what the property owner would need to address. We had a wonderful visit and we have recommended to others! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Loved the location
