The property was filthy :( my baby's hands, feet and knees was covered in black every time we put her down which was really frustrating because she's 10 months old and wants to play. It's obvious they don't clean the floors at all.

Communication

Overall very satisfied with the property. Communication was very spotty, days sometimes weeks without a response. Very nice property with easy to follow instructions. Would absolutely use again.

Great location

This condo was in a great location and perfect for 2 couples. The bedrooms were on different floors and the upper level had a great view of the beach. It’s not a luxury condo, but had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and AC worked great. Only recommendation would be to add a wifi extender as the wifi worked great down stairs but was nearly impossible to connect to upstairs, making it difficult to use our roku on the upstairs TV in the living room. Also to note, there was only a vacuum available and we would have loved to have a broom for a quick sweep away of the sand!The host messaged through the week making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We will likely be coming back to this condo/complex. It was very easy to access the public beach and right by Pompano Joes.

Great location

We love staying at Blue surf. It’s close to the beach and restaurants. This unit was not bad. It has a nice supply of beach stuff in the outside closet bottom floor. Could use some improvements though. There was stuff left in the dryer from previous tenants. Could use a nicer coffee pot. And there was no broom and dust pan to clean up sand and the sweeper hose kept falling off so it was hard to clean anything up. Overall we had a nice stay.

Renter Beware

The check in process was easy. We felt the pictures did not accurately portray the condition and layout of the condo. The condo had a lot of issues to include the front door lock broken, porch light did not work, the washer was full of a dirty, nasty rug so we couldn’t use the washer and dryer. There is an hvac vent right above the stove that drips into your food while you are cooking. They did fix the lock falling off the door while we were thereOverall, I would not recommend this condo. There are so many nice places in Destin, this is not one of them.

Nice but not nice

Place could be really nice with some upgrades including the squeaky floors upstairs I get up before my husband every day and as soon as I hit the squeaky floors he was up also. Also, we paid extra for a pet (small Yorkie) which was fine, but I would have thought there would be somewhere on site where he could use the bathroom not a parking lot I think if I pay extra for pet, there should be at least a patch of grass he could use without walking to the front of the property. No pets on the grounds

Fantastic location!

Great location close to beach restaurants and shopping. The condo has all we needed and was cute and roomy. Some minor things like some lights not working( one in upstairs bathroom was going out and the front porch light was out. Also the parking is real tight and the people from the beach walk through in their way to the public parking lot . But that did t diminish our expect all! Loved it!

Will not rent again this place. Parking is very challenging in a very tight space

This place needs an upgrade. Walls dirty and holes in walls Slide door to back bedroom very hard to lock and unlock In desperate need of upgrading for the money spent on this place.

Perfect Location!

This was a great place to stay for our family of 4 and 2 other family members. It was very clean and the host was very responsive. The location is perfect, an easy walk to the beach or Pompano Joes. This will be our future spot for sure!

Nice Space, would stay again

Overall pleasant experience. Check in was easy and contactless. Location was better than anticipated. Pool was heated and grounds were very nicely kept. Will recommend and hopefully stay again.

Perfect Location

Walk right out patio door, just steps to the pool. And right across from beach, just a few more steps. Park right at front door. Can see the gulf from upstairs deck. A/C kept downstairs cool, not so much upstairs, where den area & master bedroom are. Small pool w/a 15 people capacity, wasn’t an issue though, even on Labor Day weekend. Several poolside umbrellas broken. I don’t fault Blue Surf 19 where I stayed. I had to call Monica a few times with minor questions, she responded right away. Very low key & relaxing weekend, which is just what I needed.

Vacation much needed

The condo is pleasantly located adjacent to the beach and close to restaurants and grocery stores. We arrived just a few minutes before check in, and were able to get into the condo when we were permitted. The condo was very clean and appointed well. All necessary items are included in the condo and the beds were comfortable. Being a literal 2 minute walk to the beach access made for this father of 3, an easy haul of beach accessories for the entire family! Returning from a long day on the beach, cleaning stations on the path back to the condo makes for a clean entry into the condo. We had only one issue and it was attended to promptly, within 30 minutes of making the call! Property managers were very attentive, as well as leaving us alone! I look forward to returning to this area in the next year, I will definitely look at this property to stay again!

Clean & Lovely

The property was immaculately clean. The pool was cleaned early every morning. The view was lovely. The process was easy. The management was very nice. We rented a pet-friendly property but chose not to bring our pet and they were so helpful in removing the fee without hassle. All in all, a lovely stay. We wished we could have extended our vacation just to enjoy the rooms a bit longer.

Great location! If east beach access plus a pool option is your priority then this is an awesome spot! The unit needs a little TLC in terms of paint and finishings, but it had everything we needed for a good visit! It is time to spray for bugs though… we had three cockroaches visit with us!

Perfect Location 😎

The property is in a great location, in walking distance of a couple of restaurants and great access to the beach. The beds were comfortable and the balcony was a great place to enjoy coffee and beach sunrise from.

While this is pet friendly, Destin isn't

Nowhere in my communication leading up to check-in, and nowhere on the listing, has it been stated that even though you can bring your dog(s) to stay with you, you CANNOT TAKE THEM ON THE BEACH!!! This is a HUGE determination for SO MANY people when finding vacation spots. Had I known I needed to be a resident of Destin WITH a permit, we would have made other arrangements. That aside, this was a great place to stay. It's just a short walk to the beach (literally), has all the comforts and amenities you need, and can comfortably sleep 5-6 adults. If our dog were to stay behind, we would go there again.

Great Condo for Weekend Getaway

The Blue Surf Condo is a great place to stay. The condo is in the perfect location. You are right across the street from the ocean. You can sit on the second story balcony and see the ocean. The condo is also located close to lots of wonderful restaurants. The condo was very clean. The bathrooms have also been updated which is nice. On the first floor is the kitchen, full bath, and a bedroom with sliding doors leading out to a patio. There are no screens in the patio doors, so you are unable to have them open. The second floor has the family room which has sliding doors onto a deck. Again, no screens in the sliding doors so you can't leave it open. There is also another full bath and bedroom on the second floor. There is also a washer/dryer on the first floor. The kitchen is nice, but isn't well equipped if you plan to cook in. (need a better selection of pots/pans/dishes/etc). BUT if you plan to eat out most of the time, it's just fine. We would return to the Blue Surf, Unit 19. It was great for our weekend.

Blue Surf 19 was beautifully furnished with everything we needed to enjoy the comforts of home. The location was AMAZING - steps from the beach with a lovely beach view (through a few beautiful palm trees) from our balcony.

Great place poor housekeeping

The property is in a great location with easy beach access and lots of green space for children to play outside. The townhome was exactly what we were looking for. Our only issue was the property was only half cleaned when we arrived. We contacted the manager and they took care of it very quickly. Within an hour the cleaning crew was there to clean the whole thing again. It was a little inconvenient but they did it quickly. Also, we found tons of dirty dishes and utensils put away in the drawers and cabinets. Super gross and disappointing but we opted to just hand scrub everything ourselves rather than have the cleaning people come AGAIN. Overall, the place was great and we had a great trip and we’d come back again. The housekeeping could use a little work though.
