Fun fun

We had business meetings at the Hilton. Enjoyed staying at Westwinds and especially liked having a golf cart to come and go to the Hilton. Only negative was the construction noise.

Great vacation

We’ve stayed at westwinds multiple times, one of our favorite places to stay. This condo was all it was advertised as. Especially liked that we had the use of the 4 beach chairs so we did not have to rent.

Great location, great price

Had what we needed, pots and pans, a couple of beach chairs, hairdryer, nice king beds and nice view. We had a group of 6 and used the fold out bed with no complaints. They had wifi and tram passes available. Would 😊 stay again!

Great location and amenities

We lived the locations convenience to shopping and restaurants etc. The complex was quiet and nice for families. The condo was great! Clean, comfortable, and just as promoted on the VRBO rental site.

4 Adults, The Great and Not So Great!

The good- The property is Clean! Great Views! Nice Neighborhood! The kitchen is fantastic, had everything you could think of. The decor was charming and up to date. Things you should know!!! This is a non refundable property! So if something comes up , you are out of luck! We haven’t visited florida while the red tide was happening and let me tell you. Ugh! We stayed eight days with only two days on the beach. The smell/algae made your eyes burn, nose burn and would cough until you were sick. I tried to reschedule/credit and is was a big NO! We spent a lot of time in the unit since we had no other choice. So let me get into the gritty about what the unit needs. The bed in the 2nd room needs a new mattress. My husband slept on the couch it was so bad. The mattress seems to be an ultra soft because you sink so far you can’t get out of it. My husband is about 135 pounds. The bathroom has an uncontrollable shower head that soaked everything but you. So we had to use the Master shower. You literally can’t get the soap off. The best part, the water is cold after 15min. And two people can’t take showers at the same time without running out of hot water. Needless to say we were all grumpy waiting on shower time. We even went and got maintenance and had no luck fixing the problem. The living room area is big enough for four adults and that’s max. No lounging or laying around. Just not enough room. Like I said, we stayed days in the unit without a choice. So, these things are some we found annoying over time. The master bedroom and larger bath are great! Still hot water issues but overall very nice. We would move the desk from in front of the sliding glass doors so it could be utilized as it should. Not sure why this was kinda blocked off ?? So the living room doors were used the entire time. The outdoor space needs some updates but useable. Only big big complaint was the neighbors to your left are almost in your personal space. It definitely needs a screen! We dodged each other the entire stay. No yoga or conversation on the balcony unless you want the neighbors to join. Overall we would enjoy coming back to Westwinds. It’s a beautiful resort. The pools and hot tub were fabulous and the grounds are keep to pristine conditions. Just beware, red tide, storm or no hot water,,,, no reschedule, credit or help with issues. I never thought it would be an issue and it was.

Excellent resort

West Winds is an excellent resort. Beautiful grounds and amenities. The room is beautiful and clean with nice ocean views. The only complaint is the beds are in desperate need of an upgrade.

Great Location but TERRIBLE BEDS

A wonderful stay for an "urban" ocean getaway. Wonderfully located and property has good amenities. However, this actual condo has quite possibly the WORST BEDS we've EVER slept on. They are beyond uncomfortable, cheap, smushy, and noisy. It put a small damper on our vacation as we could not get a decent sleep. Also, there are no extras in the rooms like garbage bags or coffee filters so bring your own!
