"Overall, liked the facility. many ammenities available: free canoes, paddleboards, etc. Had pontoon boats to rent too! Free mini golf/putting course. Okay beach. We were in the lower 100's in the main hotel building; very dark, dank hallway. Humid! Could definitely use more lights and decorate with lighter colors so you don't feel like you were in a dungeon. "Staff were great! I booked a none accessible room but specified in the comments for one. The staff reached out the next day about the handicap accessible room but they didn’t have any left. They moved my room to a more accessible room compared to the one I booked at no extra charge. We also were there during a tornado and staff handled it beautifully. I felt safe the whole time during the shelter in place. "

"After seeing some fairly negative reviews I was a little reluctant to book a stay, but I ended up taking the gamble and I’m glad I did, because I’ve gone to Breezy Point before and always had a great time, and this was a much more affordable option, right on the property! "The property was satisfactory for the price we paid, although it was annoying to have to up and move to another cabin for the last 2 days of our 7 day stay because the cabin owners wanted it for that week end, we booked it out for 7 days in a roe and had to repack everything and relocate in 5 days to then do it again 2 days later, the lady was nice but didn't offer anything to us for the in connivence, that would have been nice, oh well live and learn."

"Shady Hollow deserves an easy 5 star rating. My husband and I stayed with our 5 children aged 1-8, and it was perfect. We all enjoyed the beach, beautiful lake view, swimming, paddle boards, fishing, pedal boat and kayaks, which was included in the cost. The lake was shallow enough for our kids to play safely and there were plenty of toys on the beach for them to use and build sand castles.
