Family base camp during Memorial aervice

Beautiful well appointed home. Excellent spaces for being with people, both indoors and outdoors. Well stocked kitchen, excellent reference books available for the region. This was a fabulous spot and we look forward to returning!

Holiday Family Trip

Property was perfection, we forgot we were staying in a rental (felt like a family home). Host provided everything one would need. My mother is very particular and hard to please, she had no complaints. Bedding, towels, floors very clean. Host thought of everything.

Great place to vacation!

Great property with fantastic views. My friends and I really enjoyed this property. It was the perfect mountain getaway with plenty of things to do in the area. Thanks to the host for the bottle of wine to help us celebrate. Also, very much enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and firepit area. Definitely would recommend this vacation home. Perfectly kept and very welcoming! Hope to revisit!

Talk about a dream house!

I can’t say enough about this place! When you walk in, it feels like a pier 1 catalog! Every single thing you could think of is on hand. Every nook and cranny is sparkling clean. The beds are more comfortable than our new one at home!! Puzzles were a huge hit, not to mention the hot tub with the killer view. Private but not far from local hot spots and grocery stores. The hosts checked in to make sure we didn’t need any specific item or just local info even. We will absolutely be back as often as possible!!

Perfect Family Getaway!!

This house is amazing! We stayed at the Gilead House for 3 nights and our only regret is we didn't stay longer! Was a great house for multiple families to stay in. The downstairs bedrooms, living room, and kitchenette offered almost a separate living space for a little separation for another family or older kids to hang out. We enjoyed the campfire every night, what a setup! The house was very organized and equipped. We are hosts as well for one of our properties, and I was taking notes! Thanks again for helping our 2 families make memories together in Asheville.

Dreamy mountain get away

We loved our time at Liz and Yates’s well appointed home. We could have easily stayed indoors the whole time enjoying the books and puzzles, games and views. The weather was great during our stay though and we loved adventuring in the area and enjoying our secluded mountain perch. Everything has been so well considered from clean up towels for mountain adventures to an impressive selection of glassware to intuitive and detailed instructions on any question you may have about the home or area. Our children LOVED the bunk beds and kid appealing features; beds were super comfortable. The whole place is airy, bright and ideal for a relaxing week in the mountains. Personal favorite was the screen porch with the Biergarten table. 6 of us dined there enjoying music, breeze and an easy supper. It was magic. Highly recommend.

Great Thanksgiving stay at Gilead

Our extended family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gilead over Thanksgiving. The house is perfect for a large group – spacious, lovely décor, well stocked, good location and the view is fantastic. We loved watching sunrise from the sunroom. Liz and Yates are great hosts. Thanks for thinking of everything to make our stay so comfortable/amazing and for answering all our questions so promptly!

Sparkling house with amazing views

Fabulous Place!

Our flight to Puerto Rico was cancelled at the last minute so our 2 families (8 total) had to scramble to make lemonade from our vacation lemons. We found this place available the next day and for the week that was to be our vacation. Off we drove and arrived at a beautiful home, well appointed with every detail considered. We had a great stay in the Asheville area, with this convenient house as our home base. We would recommend to others!

Lovely Mountain Escape

Our group of 5.5 thoroughly enjoyed our visit at this beautiful home. It is well equipped with everything you could need and you can’t beat the location. We enjoyed exploring downtown Asheville, visiting the gem mines, eating fabulous food and stopping through the locals towns. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Beautiful home, lovely property!

We loved our stay here! The property is situated in a great spot - close enough to town for grocery runs/restaurants, but far enough away to feel secluded and immersed in nature. The house itself is beautiful, and the owners were super responsive, helpful and anxious to make our stay a great one!

This house was gorgeous! The location was great. Just a short drive to Asheville, Hendersonville and Brevard. We ask saw lots of wildlife driving to and from the house every day. Any questions we had during our stay were answered right away. We would definitely stay here again.

Family mountain fun

Our stay at Gilead House was amazing. The house was stylish , immaculately clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The mountain setting was so beautiful. Yates and Liz were great communicators. In addition to excellent house management, they provided us with all the info we needed to make the most of our time in the area. We really couldn’t have asked for more!

Loved this house!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. We went to Asheville for 5 days with 4 families. There were 15 people total (7 adults and 8 kids). We never once felt cramped. Plenty of places to relax and spread out. The location was great for accessing all that the Asheville area has to offer. We drove into downtown every night for dinner and the 30 minute drive was easy and never seemed to be a burden at all. The homeowners are amazing to work with. Communication was easy and quick. They have done a wonderful job creating a website specific to the house and the area for your travel needs. They cover it all. I’d recommend 100% to anyone wanting a perfect getaway.

Thanksgiving family weekend

This property will not disappoint - any time of year. The view alone was well worth our 14 hour drive from Texas. Liz was a wonderful host and has curated the house with beautiful furniture and artwork. She supplied the house with items in the kitchen for our Thanksgiving meal and activities geared for all of our family members (8 months-74 years). We felt no need to leave during our stay (even though it was very conveniently located to the grocery, breweries and hikes) and were very sad to drive away.
