First impression - after so much the rain the road leading to the hotel was full of pot holes which were difficult to navigate in a standard car.
However on arrival we were greeted by the reception staff who made every effort to make our room available early.
The hotel is Industrial Chic. Big ceilings in the main building, open brick work and pipes.
The rooms are all separate to the main building and continue theme with concrete floors, steel bars and a stone work bathroom.
Bed was very comfortable, shower good although does tend to spray the rest of the bathroom.
When the sun eventually came out we had a stunning view over the lake.
We had some drink and lunch in the bar/restaurant. Food and service was very good. It was very popular with families meeting for lunch on the Saturday.
My downsides would be the lighting in the room. Felt very dark, especially as the weather wasn’t good. The dressing area was too dark making it difficult to get ready.
On our first night a band had come in to play, it was 1am when they finished and no-one would escape the noise, as rock music was not our type we didn’t join in but had no choice to not listen.
