I enjoyed my stay at Blues Alley Downtown. Linda was great at communicating and very helpful with places to visit and brochures in unit. The pictures reflect what is shown and it is tastefully decorated. Bed was comfortable and high end quality linens and towels (and plenty of extras) ample lighting and appreciate the mirrors located for checking your fit before walking out the door. Only thing missing in Kitchen was a Keurig ( already mentioned to Linda ) I’m pretty sure she will supply that in near future. Kitchen also could use a roller cart for a little more kitchen counter space. I felt safe and comfortable (single female) the only thing that was somewhat bothersome was the brewery across the street parked in front of unit (off street parking) and Linda does indicate this in description of booking. The parking is only affected from around 5pm-9:30p ish. So if you have to park further from unit you could move your vehicle back in front of unit. Overall I definitely recommend Blues alley downtown for your stay in Memphis if you want close proximity to all things fun in downtown Memphis. I would absolutely stay again!

Perfect Memphis Stay

After finding that this unit was in the area we wanted to stay, the next thing we noticed were all the positive reviews. They were not exaggerating! This was the best VRBO experience we've had. The communication was excellent and made us feel very prepared for a city that was new to us. The unit was very clean and so beautifully decorated. Every single thing we could possibly need during our stay was there. The unit was the perfect size for my husband and I and it was well lit at night with easy parking right in front. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed and thoughtful surprises were found throughout our stay. The Shaws are just wonderful, caring, thoughtful people and we will definitely stay with them again when in Memphis. Erika & Martin

THIS is your Memphis MUST STAY

We had an amazing time at this VRBO. The location was perfect for our event at Grind City Music Fest, however, it would also be perfect for anyone visiting Memphis. It is very close to the Main Street trolley stop, across from Soul and Spirit Brewery and within walking distance (if you are in decent shape) to The Peabody and Beale Street. This place was immaculate. While compact, what more could you need. The kitchen was fully stocked AND the hosts leave a basket of goodies, a bag of ice and soda in the fridge. The bathroom has every toiletry you can imagine. Forgot something??? Trust me, they have you covered. Upon leaving, they even left a gift on the porch for us. These amazing people even had a travel cup made for us, including the dates AND the event we went to. We will definitely be going back to Memphis and staying here.

The Shaw's are awesome host. I loved everything about this property! It was clean, supplied with everything, had snacks, and the communication was great! We were in Memphis celebrating a birthday and they bought a gift over! Definitely will spread the word and most definitely will stay here again!

Clean, Safe, Cozy

We come to Memphis every spring for the Memphis in May celebrations and the Beale Street Music Festival. We've never stayed close to the downtown area, bc I have always been worried about safety. I decided to take the chance this year, and found The Shaws apartment. It was serendipity! Perfect little apartment for a couple with everything you need. Kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need to make meals, bathroom is stocked with extra toiletries and soap and towels. I knew we'd chosen to stay with someone who goes above and beyond when we walked in an had a Welcome basket full of yummy goodies! I've never had owners do that before! It was nice to just sit down and have a snack after driving all day! They give you plenty of information about local attractions and restaurants, and Linda was so quick with communication. Would definitely recommend staying at Linda and Johns property to anyone traveling to Memphis!

Hidden Gem, Super Accommodating, My New Memphis Home!

“Every part of my stay was so accommodating. The street is quiet, security cameras around the premises, and for a moment I forgot this was not my house. It felt like someone took the time to think about all the amenities that are important to me! If you forgot it, they have it. I had make-up removal wipes, shower caps, freshly rolled towels. The room’s cleanliness and fresh linen scent from the sheets and pillows made me feel at home. This property even included an in-house concierge who I had to book accommodations. One of the best apts!

This apt is the most stocked place we have stayed at. From coffee to a bottle of wine, they had everything we could need. Beautifully decorated and much attention to detail! Good location close to downtown. Felt very safe!

Great location and unit

We loved the area and this property! Walking distance from downtown and Beale Street, always felt safe and everyone in the area was friendly. The property was overseen by a wonderful man and all we were given lots of advice on what to do and where to go. Would highly recommend!
