House in the heart of Memphis

Upon arriving, the house and backyard are not quite what is pictured as the pictures are obviously a bit older and the back yard was in a complete disarray when we arrived. The mini golf did not meet expectations as you could not fully play on the holes that were damaged. The house was dirty with an old sock in the bed, which led us to believe that the sheets had not been changed. There was old food, left on the counter in the kitchen and crumbs on the floor. The doors to the house would not stay closed unless locked. it was a nice perk that there was a charger for electric cars. It’s also located where it’s easily to get around in Memphis, which was nice!

Old house with unaddressed problems

My two sisters and I stayed for three nights. Much less nice property than the pictures suggested. No TV in living room which the listing said it had. The first problem was when we got home from dinner the first night late, there was no hot water. We called the next morning and ended up fixing it ourselves when they gave us the door code to get into the basement where the water heater is. Front door frame rotting so it was hard to close the door and we had to push a screw back into the rotted wood. An upstairs bedroom had door handles that would come off in your hand. Someone could get locked in that room if it was closed when that happened. The one upstairs bathroom with the clawfoot tub had half of the shower curtain it needed and the ridiculous flat bottomed sink splashed water on you unless you kept the water flow pretty low. The backyard looks so spacious in the photos but everything is crammed together. Lastly, the downstairs shower turned on by itself 15 minutes before we needed to check out and it would not turn off. The company was honestly not that helpful. Could not tell with any of these concerns when their handyman would get there. Even approximately. Would never stay there again. We wanted to watch a movie together on the last night site so ended up using my iPad.

Will book again.

I have stayed in Memphis 4 different time, this house and neighborhood were the best we have stayed in! The host was very friendly and responds extremely fast. I had a mix up on my dates, she was very understanding and helped me extend my dates with no issue. Thankfully the house was not already booked. Only thing is I wish there was a TV in the living room.

Home Away From Home

Property location was wonderful. Loved having easy access to a grocery store. Quick trip to all the sites we wanted to see. Home is beautiful with everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable!

Weeklong stay, property is very convenient!

The stay was great, the location is minutes away from Beale St., Sun Studios, the Zoo! I would have given a higher rating but there was a multitude of little things that could have been better. Firstly, there is no T.V. in the living room, which sucked for our teens. T.V. remotes were mixed up or missing. The mailbox slot was missing some screws, so there is a hole for bugs.The backyard is overgrown. The firepit didn't work. The water temp could not be adjusted in two of the showers. Just a lot of little things! Anyway, we definitely liked the location of the property and the neighborhood was friendly and well lit. Also, the owners responded quickly to any questions/concerns, like super fast lol.
